This may seem like high praise, but this cake stand is the best thing I ever bought on Amazon.1. It's high quality. I got the acacia wood style and both the tray and the small bowl are lovely, real wood and have a great look and feel without being heavy. The dome is clear acrylic, not glass, but that also keeps it very lightweight.2. It's pretty! I love the wood grain. It will complement almost any kitchen.3. It's multiple things! I had put off buying a cake stand for a long time because my apartment is small and unitaskers have no place here, plus a cake dome just naturally takes up space. However, this is so cleverly designed: it's a cake serving tray with a dome that locks into the groove on the lip of the tray. It's also a cake stand, if you set the tray on the upside-down small bowl. But it's also an appetizer tray: flip the platter over, and it's got 4 sections for veggies or chips, and the small bowl fits in the center for a dip. You can also invert the cake dome and use the whole setup as a serving bowl for salad or anything else (trifle, anyone?).The whole thing takes up less space to store than a traditional cake stand, offers more options for using it, and it's just so well designed. The price was right, too.My only wish is that they could have somehow figured out a way to make it into a turntable as well, but I wasn't expecting that and I think adding that mechanism would detract from the beautiful simplicity of the design.If you're on the fence, I highly recommend buying this!

Beautiful addition to our party! I recommend removing the stand before cutting to prevent the cake from falling. The stand is basically a bowl that sit in the grooves on the underside of the platter. Overall good quality and recommend!

Love this multi-use cake stand!! Glass ones are super heavy and one has to worry about them getting broken. This acrylic one is as pretty as glass and so much more practical! Not problem lifting it since it is so light. We are really glad we have it.

This acrylic product looks good on the counter and works well for cakes, pies, cookies. Not heavy and I do not worry about breaking it. One drawback for me is that the standard dinner plate does not fit. I use a plastic party plate which works, but....
