Thank goodness!!!!
Update: I began the return process for the first collar because of the short battery life. A new collar was shipped to us and I began using it immediately before returning the old one. Folks I'm devastated to report this because I love this product. The second collar would constantly go haywire. I would put it on the dog and he would walk ten feet and it would start beeping and shocking. We let the battery go completely dead hoping that would reset something. We went to our property in the country, set the collar up, 12 satellites, wide open space and it never once had the same boundary point. Needless to say, we are sending the replacement collar back and keeping the collar with the short battery life. All b.s. aside. I'm not sure my Shepard would be safe at home without this. After several Houdini escapes I felt like I was running out of options. The last time he escaped he was missing 3 hours. I swore it wasn't going to happen again. I bought 1 wireless fence from marketplace, didn't work. Then bought two from Amazon and couldn't get either to work. After talking to a few people they said we must have some kind of interference that won't allow them to work. What were we going to do? We have 2 acres, surrounded by several fields and beyond that hundreds of acres of dense woods. The ability to allow him to run freely with the other dogs (and do their bathroom business in the farm fields) was important to us. But with other animals to tend to my eyes can't always be on him. I found this and watched the set up/ how to use video. After reading EVERY review, and watching the video several times, I decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. This thing is a God send. He stays inside the perimeter. My worries aren't gone, but so far, when I go looking for him, he is always near home. I love, love, love this thing. Now, with that being said, here's the things I think you must know.1.Turn it on before you put it on the dog. Sometimes it "miscalculates". It will start being and vibrating right after it connects to satellite. I simply turn it off and restart it. This process works for me.2.The battery life is short. We turn the collar on for about 4 hrs each day. (When he is in the fence and we are close by we don't collar him). This collar will only last us 2 days before it is on its last leg.3. It is large in size. On a 75lb gsd pup it fits with his tactical collar on. If you have a small dog, this might be an inconvenience.4. There is no protective case over the buttons. Dogs that rough house alot might poke a tooth or something through the buttons.Long story short, this works really well for us. I would return it and try a new one to see if the battery life is better on a different one. But, after 4 weeks of freedom, I can't see taking it away from him while we wait for a replacement collar. We can't wait to get to our camping land and allow him freedom there as well.P.S. if the manufacturer reads this, contact me about my options for the battery life.

LIFE CHANGER
This collar is absolutely amazing! Our dog LOVES jumping fences, he can jump an 8 ft fence no problem. We live on 5 acres so we don't mind him roaming but he needs to obviously stay within out property. I didn't want to mess with a wire boundary collar because I do not have time for that. This collar has been absolutely life-changing. We set it for 1,000 ft and knows the boundary. HE stays within the boundary otherwise it'll start to vibrate. He has obviously gone outside the boundary with it on to learn that it'll shock him and it is so sad when it does but now he knows where he is allowed to go and where he isn't allowed to go. He doesn't escape anymore (unless we leave him out late and it dies) and he is happy that he is able to roam around and not be caged up. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE - it lasts about 13 hours which is WONDERFUL but my friends have said theirs dies quickly and they charge it all night long. I have my charger plugged into a timed charging block that is connected to an app- I have it charge for 3 hrs every night and it lasts for 13 hours with the 3 hour charge. I am sure that even something as simple as a Christmas light charger would work out perfectly for this! I am BEYOND happy with this purchase. It is also very durable. My husband cut the original collar too short so it fell out of the loop and the dog obviously tried to eat it because he eats everything and it came out overall undamaged! IMPRESSED

Large play area
I tested one of these collars after having failed attempts to keep two dogs in a safe zone to play, then bought a second one because it worked so good for me. In just a couple days the dogs found where they could play without being corrected and now I never worry they are out or close to the road nearby. I set the zero point at the waterfront and the distance is 10 meters short of the nearest road, that gives the dogs about 35-40 acres to freely run around in. I’ve only had it set for the tone and vibration mode and never needed to use the static correction so I do not have the studs on it and they can wear the collar for long periods of time. The battery for me is lasting longer than I read it would but I do charge them every evening. One thing to consider is if the dog goes into a building or house for a long period of time some of the satellites drop of and the collar may think it is further from the zero point than it is and start a correction cycle. In my case I just turn it off yet leave it on and they still stay in the safe area. I’ve noticed by having two collars that if either dog gets a warning tone they both run towards the house and they seem to work together on when to stop and not test the boundaries.

Coverage will vary (modified review)
Works well. Distance has to be tested if not in open area. My land in in forest area . The unit is big and recommend removing from dog as soon not in use. Only issue I had is if dog is running, it may take a while for GPS to lock on so he was way out of the "zone" so he got zapped quite a bit. Start on low settings. Most dogs don't like the vibration, and the beep warning in good. There are different configurations possible.:Update : for an unknown reason, the "center point" or GPS position changed amd my dog got zapped 10 feet from the center of "safe zone". A bit sad becaus there was nowhere he could go not to get zapped. The instructions do say to test often the presicion and that GPS point may "move or wander". I am assuming that most people will use the sound/vibration option so it should not be that bad, but with difficult dogs (im my case deaf) it will be more important to follow thw instructions for a while to see how stable the system is.

Didnt work for Treed yard
This product did not work well for my yard. I'm not sure if it would be better in a yard with no trees, buildings, and wide open space. I tried to set up a few times and I wasn't accurate and wouldn't initiate a shock even when out of range. Not sure if that's overall, but didnt work for me. The collar seems to be good quality and possibly not used friendly depending on the person.

A great product for a great price and wireless!
This is a great product, it works exactly as it's described. I have a 1 1/2 acre lot and works perfect. I owned the previous model to this one which you had to turn on at the center point each day where this one has a memory so you only need to refresh it every week or so. A great product for a great price and no wire to bury!

Failure of product and support.
I received the collar on May 6 2022 and at first it seemed to work really well. It was nice that I didn’t have to reset the center point every time I turned the device on. In the past week I have had problems with the collar beeping on my dog when she is in her containment area, and this persists even if I reset the center point after I turn it on. Then it shocked my dog within the containment area. I contacted the seller yesterday July 2, 2022. Less than 2 months after receiving the product and was told that since the return period is over they will not do anything to help me. My dog is now scared to go outside, and I will be looking for a different alternative. Do not buy this garbage, as the company will do nothing to support the product so long as they have taken your money from you.

Not consistent
We tried several times to set this up before we put it on our puppy but we found that we never had any consistency with where the collar would activate. Sometimes it would start to beep at the beginning of the driveway and within a few minutes we would try again and it wouldn’t go off until we were on the fast moving road. We can’t take the chance with this kind of range of consistency so we will be returning it.
