I like the solid mount, easy to install, with good directions. Easy to place and remove phone with the system it uses. However, I found two drawbacks - the first is that it sits higher than I would like. If it had the ability to be on the same level as the top of the dash, it would be fine, but as it is, it sits high enough to obstruct the view of the road immediately ahead of the car. Second, when mounted with the phone horizontal (landscape) the mount top to bottom is great because it expands or contracts to the size of your phone, but left to right, there is no adjustment, and the body of the mount is short for a larger phone; the right side of the phone is in the holder, the left side has no support. So far it hasn't caused an issue, but will see what happens with some wear. Last, when the phone isn't in it, the adjustable top to bottom arms rattle while driving, regardless of the position of the expandable arms. Still, it's more stable and serviceable than the other mount I purchased that mounts in a cup holder.

This is a well built, sturdy mount that doesn’t rely on a suction cup, which always seems to fail. The installation instructions were very clear. If you have a sloped dash, they recommend using the included Velcro to avoid slipping. It places the phone in a easy spot for viewing. I was concerned it would interfere with my line of sight for driving, but it does not. Because it is rather bulky, I will be taking it down when not using it.

I ended up just using the visor clip. I've never had one of these clips stay in place before but this one clamps onto the vent and holds the phone securely. I'm really happy that I brought this.

Disclosure: I did receive this item for free but I tell you what, this phone holder works great! It holds my phone securely. It grips on to my dashboard great too. I have a little bit older truck (90s toyota pickup) and it holds my phone at a great angle without blocking much of the windshield. Leaves plenty of gap between the steering wheel and phone holder so no risk of hitting it while turning. So far very satisfied.Edit: lowered my rating to 3 stars because the rubber inside the ball joint melted and basically glued the phone holder swivel in a single orientation. I can no longer rotate the holder or readjust the position of the head.Another Edit: The company reached out to me and said they saw my review and had a brand new one in the mail. I received it a few days later and it worked great! Amazing and attentive customer service!

After 2 weeks installed on my dashboard, I decided it was to big/close in front of me and a huge distraction. I didn’t care for my view being blocked.

This mount makes it easy to see and access phone without taking my glance too far from forward view of the road. I selected a mounting location that keeps the phone from blocking any view from the windshield. I also have no AC vent blockage while using the mount. The dashboard mounting is pretty easy, even on the slightly curved surface, using the included Velcro pad and guide. There are 2 pads provided so I can switch the mount between 2 vehicles. The phone holing part is great- easy to put phone into and remove and tight when phone is secured. The mount is adjustable via an arm from base and the pivot where the clamp part meets the arm, made the final placing perfect for me.I have another Vicseed mount, a vent type, that uses same phone clamping and it has worked without issue for many years- I expect the same from this mount.Full disclosure: Vicseed reached out to me to try this mount so I could review the new product.

I originally got the clip style, but it didn't work with my 2014 Toyota Corolla, due to the lip on the dash not being long enough. So I returned it and got the vent style, from the same company, instead. The customer service was Fantastic. The communication was Excellent. The exchange was Extremely fast. I am thrilled with this company. My new clip puts my phone at 'eye level', rather than between the seats, and it is not blocking anything I need to see (like my clock). Both holders worked with my Samsung S22 Ultra phone WITH a thick military grade case on it. There is even a place for my charging cord, if needed. Definitely would recommend.
