I like Febreze. It smells nice - light and clean and not at all perfumey.I don't like stinky housebits and fabric. They don't smell nice - thus the "stinky" part. Yet they happen, and with some regularity. Why? Perhaps because I'm a terrible housekeeper, so my carpet and furniture benefit from a refreshing spritz. Perhaps it's because I hate doing laundry and only do it when I run out of underwear, and perhaps I have a lot of underwear - like, a lot - and the resulting giant, frightening, Mount Doom-esque mounds of shirts and whatnot that amass in my closet are improved by a nice spray here and there. Perhaps I have a new puppy who is still house training, and she occasionally has issues that even after cleaned leave a less-than-delightful scent - an eau de urine, if you will - that dissipates with a misting of the carpet.Perhaps this stuff helps makes stinky stuff less stinky with absolutely no effort on my part, the scent is light and not at all perfume-y, and since I use it regularly, buying it this way is more cost efficient and convenient than individual bottles (and I like to think refilling is preferable, environmentally speaking).

Besides all the things it is advertised to be used on, I spray the clothing that I have worn into a restaurant when I get home and let it hand outside of the closet overnight to keep it fresh and get another wear out of it. This works particularly well with sweaters.
