I use this as a math manipulative almost daily with my students in a special education class in grades 1/2 to work on addition and subtraction within 10. Stars are foam with magnet back.

Great item for beginning addition and subtraction even! The kids loved using them and other teachers even wanted some ordered for their classrooms!

We homeschool and I love the visual aid this gives my kids it comes with 10 mats so you can use it for adding and subtracting teen numbers as well

We use the magnetic stars for a lunch count process - may use the boards as ten frames in the future if I can get magnetic numbers. The dry erase markers don’t work well with 24 students

All of my students were excited to use the stars and magnetic ten frames to count. I gave each student/student groups different colored stars so they wouldn't get confused. I love that the boards are easy to write on with the dry erase marker and easy to erase. I stored the stars by colors in ziplock bags to make clean up and set up easier. They have held up with multiple uses, and any dry erase markers can be used with this product. Definitely a better manipulative than the standard counting tokens. I also had students work together to join their ten frames to add larger numbers.
