Great Gift
I bought this for my teen daughter and she enjoys playing this game. The music is fun, the game is fun. It keeps her and her friends entertained. This was a better price than other places.

Awesome 2D platformer with beautiful music/graphics and multiplayer capability
Rayman quickly became my favorite game in the Switch so far (along with Zelda). It's a single or multiplayer platformer with very easy to use controls. Graphics are just beautiful, there are so many details and moving objects/creatures in the background (and foreground too), it really immerses you into the game. It has lots of levels and lots of collectibles, some of which are pretty ridiculous but just add to the humor of the game. It has plenty of character skins to choose from and many more to earn while you play. It's quite fun to play alone, but it's most fun when playing with 2-4 people, it's amusingly confusing, as you can accidentally (or not) hit your teammates and you can cooperate to overcome some of the obstacles. The game also has daily/weekly challenge minigames which can be quite addictive.Music is beautiful and authentic, and the game is also quite frustration-free as technically there are no lives, instead you can start from the last checkpoint as many times as you want.If you already owned a Rayman game make sure to read other comments / watch youtube videos, as some people say that it's the same game as in the other platforms. I wouldn't know because it's the first time I play a Rayman game.If you like platformers, or if you have kids, I'm sure you won't regret getting this game.

Very cute platforming game
Let me start off this review by saying I do enjoy gaming, but I am NOT good at them, not like some professional gamer here. With that said, this game is FUN. I have NOT played any other release of Rayman (just skipped him for some reason) but when I saw this version coming out for Switch I decided to try it.Graphics: bright, colorful, cute, and smooth, this game is perfect. The Switch has no problem running it, and handheld or tv mode, both are a joy to look at.Sound: the music that plays in the levels is cute, many of the themed running levels even have the music and effects line up, so it feels like the music is directing you. Does get a little repetitive on some levels, mostly the character unlock levels. You will die, OFTEN (more on that later) and it is nice that when you reload back in the music changes, but its the same 6 tunes, so you will have them memorized pretty quickly.Difficulty: Ok here is where we run into some problems, and why the game lost a star for me. This is a platformer game, meaning perfect placed jumps and slit second reactions will be required at times. Normally this isn't a problem, as even when you die the game will reload you back fairly close in about 2 or 3 seconds, so you never feel pulled out of the action by a death. It normally isn't bad enough to make you throw the controller, and when you DO get past a tough part you feel good, because you earned it. NOW with all that said, there ARE a few levels that are beyond annoying. All levels are ranked by a number of skulls to tell you how hard they are, and this is a nice touch, but sometimes they are misplaced. A 3 skull level you could breeze through but then a 2 skull might cause problems. A few of the split second racing around levels did make me want to through my controller ('up up and run away' for example) with some taking WELL over a 1/2 hour to complete. Again you feel GOOD when you do finish them, but just keep that in mind. All in all this is a cute, bright platformer game that fits perfect on the Switch. Please keep in mind I am reviewing this based on the single player game only. I know there are several multi player options, but as of the writing of this review, I haven't done them yet. I would say if you like Rayman, platformer games, or need something for the Switch get it.

A fun platformer with lots of content
This game is apparently mostly the same as prior releases, but this is my first introduction to it (I only bought it on the switch). I have been enjoying it immensely, with lots of fun levels and plenty of challenging tasks. Most of the levels are untimed, but there are some where you have to either beat the clock or stay ahead of a deadly force that keeps you moving. The timed levels are my least favorite, but for the most part they are not overly annoying by being fairly brief (for those that force you to restart from the beginning) or have decent restart mechanics (for those that give you checkpoints during the level). I also recommend a pro controller (or equivalent) as the small buttons on the joycons make it too easy to press 2 at once in the heat of the action (at least for me).
