B550 GAMING GEN3

Previously sent a MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard, arrived damaged and failed to boot up. Had that one returned and in the meantime ordered this motherboard as a replacement. Plugged in and powered on- no issues so far. Will monitor and update appropriately.

I bought this as an upgrade to a B450 motherboard it has been perfect. The only issue I've encountered with this is that there is no connector for usb-c slot on the front of the case. This wouldn't normally be an issue for me as I don't often use usbc devices but, this has become a problem in a day and age where usbc seems to be the new standard. Not the motherboards fault, I should've done more research on the parts that I was buying. It looks great in the case and all connections have been stable, never had any issues with it. Overall good quality board, would recommend to anyone who wants a cheaper board to be able to spend more on things like CPU and GPU.

I got this at £77 compared to other motherboards with the same chipset no wifi and similar if not the same connectors this is a steal new What is good .lots of 4 pin fan connectors .decent heat syncs .good connections on the io What bad .i don't need a light telling me this is being branded towards gaming rigs .m.2 could do with a heat sync (not that its needed)

The motherboard is part of an upgrade from a very budget entry gaming pc to a better one that has many more features. It looks awesome and the word ‘gaming’ lights up in red. The bios is fantastic to use. Before installing, I downloaded the manual from the website which I found better than the quick start guide which gives basic information reinforced with YouTube clips. I prefer the manual. Install was so simple and after a couple of bios tweaks, the existing W10 booted and everything worked. I installed all the latest drivers and bios from the msi website and all is fantastic. I have a very happy 14 year old!!

got this motherboard all set up and running well i like this motherboard , my other one developed a fault could not sort it out , i,m not used to the bios settings yet but it booted up ok never had a msi motherboard before it,s very fast i recommended this to anyone thats considering to buy one

Fast delivery, no packagig other than the manufacturer's box but everything arrived safe and sound. Easy to install, no need to update firmware, would have liked new screws and pcb lifters but had to use those from the board I was replacing ... not a massive problem. A couple of months after installation and I'm still loving it.

First time buying MSI anything. After I removed my old motherboard, and fitted the MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 Motherboard. Discovered IO plat missing ! Checked manual to see if referenced to be present, and it describes how to fit it, but does not supply it. How did they manage to leave it out. If I leave out IO plate it will effect thermo cooling efficiency, and look awful. Other missing items are m.2 screw for reiser, and CD ROM. The supplied diagram is in-part made overly complex, and in other parts, over simplistic(and wrong eg control & LED indicator header). MSI ask you supply them with a "Serial number". They keep it very well hidden to slow you down. Have sent MSI UK support and email(as directed by Amazon). Not expecting a reply. Likely a warranty return, but they make sure to put the customer at loss of time, hence my negative review. Update. MSI said they would send out missing parts. But when they did, sent to to themselves instead (when I checked tracking). they said they would said the would send again, and not only did not, refused to reply to me. Amazon had to stand in to resolve, with return + refund and gift card. When you buy MSI, you are relying only on Amazon good customer service, and not MSI (worst ever) ! Hope Amazon downgrade MSI as a supplier.

Good around motherboard

Bonne carte mère. Fait le job Vérifiez bien que le bloc d'alimentation soit un peu surdimensionné pour ne pas avoir de problème lors de la mise en route. Lors de la première mise en route, la carte mère met un temps certain avant d'afficher quoi qu ce soit car elle analyse les composants branchés. Les leds sur le coté de la carte mère indiquent ce que cette dernière contrôle. Ça peut être un peu perturbant quand on a pas l'habitude.

Alles gut , funktioniert einwandfrei , es gibt nicht mehr was man sagen könnte.

Jag letade efter ett moderkort med relativt många fläkt kontakter, som också hade stöd för Ryzen AM4. Jag parade ihop detta moderkort med en Ryzen 5 5600x och ett RTX 2070, och jag kunde inte ha blivit mer nöjd! Den kör alla spel, och håller en väldigt bra temperatur! Sedan inte för att snacka om stabiliteten, och hur bios var redo att köra!
