Thought long and hard before buying this pole saw as it is expensive. I am most impressed by the quality and the hooks on each end of the saw work brilliantly and keep you on the branch. Have only experimented quickly with it but now looking forward to the main job, where I have never been able to reach high branches overhanging our garden. I am editing this some few days after my earlier review to comment after the main job. Delighted with this quality tool. Made cutting very high branches very easy although not surprisingly with all six poles screwed together, the blade is hard to control. Made light work of a potentially hard job. My particular delight is over the blade which got trapped a couple of times, when the branch was almost cut through and then wedged the blade. I was certain the blade would bend as I tried to rescued it but no on each occasion the blade was perfectly in tact. Great tool have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Just remember, at full extension 20 feet plus, anything would be hard to control but there is only the minimum of flex across the poles.

When all the poles are screwed together this thing is quite a handful to use, due to the weight and length. That said, get used to it and it's very good at what it does. Just beware when the saw has cut through enough of the big heavy branch for it's weight to cause it to snap and fall - the first time that happens you'll be aware of it every time after!
