Best knives I've ever used
I have a couple of Rada knives that my mother gave me which are easily 20+ years old. The blades are still fantastic, with no nicks or dings. They sharpen easily, and hold an edge well, even after all these years. The design is simple, but attractive, and the price is beyond reasonable for such high quality. I was very excited to see that I could replace all my other knives with their Rada counterparts. I look forward to expanding my set in the future!

floats through raw meats like a dream
We received Rada knives as wedding gifts and have continued to buy more and more and more. The quality is superb and when you factor in the reasonable price, it is astounding. This knife is so great for chopping fruits, vegetables and especially raw meats. No one wants to "saw" through a raw chicken breast. If you find you're fighting with your knives to chop raw meats, consider this guy. Miracle of all miracles, it is a product still made in the USA! It is important to note, the aluminum handles get spotty after many trips through the dishwasher. Consider buying Rada's black handled versions if this is a big deal to you. (They are meant for the dishwasher.) There is a breaking in period where the aluminum handles of new knives will leave a dark gray residue on your hands after a run through the dishwasher. This will pass. The slightly spotty, broken in appearance doesn't bother us at all.

Good knife for raw meats
If your cooking includes cutting up and preparing larger cuts of raw meat then you may find this knife very useful. It is extremely sharp and does hold its edge very well. They can be sharpened if needed. I use it to cut down large roasts, tenderloins, stew meat into smaller portions. The cut is quick and efficient. This blade is thinner than professional knives and by no means will replace the professional butcher knife used in meat establishments to cut into huge bodies of meat. This is a knife for home use. The metal handle is textured and allows for a good grip if your hands are wet. It is a bit shorter and straight lined than some knife handles and if you have large hands you may not be as comfortable using it. If you are not interested in investing large sums for a knife then you will find this a good value. Enjoy!

the best carving knife I have ever had.
This knife was sharp, shaped perfectly and cleaned like a dream. As is usual, when I find a product I really love, it is discontinued. Please bring this knife back, I have several friends who want mine and I sure won't give it up. Why is it gone??? It's the best shape and easiest to use of all Rada knives! Please!

Very sharp, very good
I haven't bought a Rada product yet that I wouldn't give five stars. I have a whole knife bar full of their knives, as well as a couple spatulas and other utensils. The price and quality can't be beat. I always go with the metal handles, and am careful about washing and drying them quickly so the handle doesn't discolor. But even if they do tarnish a little, I still like the look of them a lot more than the black handles. The Rada sharpener is easy to use to keep the knives sharp.I use this knife a lot more than I thought I would, though usually I end up just using it to chop up vegetables more than I use it on meat.

Exactly What It Claims To Be
5 stars for being EXACTLY what it claims to be: a US-made budget offering that arrives razor sharp and can be resharpened with the Rada knife sharpener. It’s not a high end future heirloom, it’s a functional working blade that I abuse in the kitchen (my job) and resharpen quickly with my knife sharpener.

Good
The knife overall seems to be good and looks as it is advertised. The blade is not as heavy as I'd like, but being the way things are made these days, I'd guess you'd have to spend a lot more money to get one. Overall, it seems to be a good product for the times I have used it. Would buy this product again.

Excellent Butcher Knife
A great butcher knife. 420 HC stainless steel. My old one never rusted or corroded in any way, despite 15 years of reliable service. These knives take and hold an edge very well. I use the RADA sharpener and a ceramic rod and it gets newspaper slicing sharp in less than five minutes after cutting meat all day. Buy the RADA sharpener and the RADA R106 "Stubby Butcher Knife" with it. The "Stubby" is the best boning knife in the RADA line. You will be very satisfied with this kit for less than 30 bucks.
