There are 4 heart shaped waffles. Perfect if you only want 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or a whole waffle. I love it.

Does it let you know when the waffles are done or do you just have to know how long it takes? How long does it take after pre heated?

It does but I find I prefer to leave the waffles in longer then it suggests.
