Good variety! Some flavors better than others
This pack is a great way to try all of the Ocean tinned fish offerings. Highly recommend. Some varieties are fantastic, some OK, some could use a little more flavor tweaking back at the cannery lab; all, however, make a good meal or snack component. The three smoked mackerel flavors:- Peppered is probably the best all around, as evidenced by it being difficult to find (sold out) as a single-flavor pack. Pepper-forward, delicious.- Juniper & Coriander is a REALLY interesting flavor, woody and herbaceous--this one's my favorite.- Sweet Smoked was the least impressive of the three, being not particularly sweet; I was expecting more of a candied flavor but it's more basic. Maybe add your own sauce to this one, but it's still good. All three have a "hot smoked" style texture and are quite chewy, like fish that came out of a smoker rather than just having smoke flavor added during the canning process. Tins usually include two small fillets with skin. All three flavors are worth buying as a single-flavor pack of 5 or 12.The regular mackerel flavors:- The Korma I think is the star here since it's not a flavor available elsewhere in a tin--it's good as part of a rice bowl.- The Mediterranean variety is solid as far as quality but it's not quite as flavorful as King Oscar Mediterranean Mackerel. Tasty on top of pasta!- The Jalapeno version is serviceable but did not have any discernible heat, so it's a bit meh. Be prepared to add more peppers or hot sauce here; other brands currently do jalapeno mackerel better. That said, the fish quality is good so if you don't care for spicy then don't let the word "jalapeno" scare you off, you might love this. Each of these is also sold as a single-flavor 5- or10-pack.The two sardine varieties:- The Mediterranean sardines are good, with the same criticism as the mackerel where the flavor is not quite as tasty as the comparable King Oscar variety.- The plain olive oil sardines are very similar in quality again to King Oscar; they make a good protein component to a meal where other ingredients are bringing the flavor. In both cases the sardines themselves are small, neat, silvery brislings; no scales in the tins I had.

Nice variety of fish
I like some of these more than others, all of the mackerel is great, especially the smoked ones, the bristling sardines are just fine, nothing to write home about but I'm perfectly happy to eat them. Overall a great pack of tinned fish.

Bad Flavors. Not even mackerel. Couldn't return.
All of the flavors were weird. Juniper & Coriander Smoked Mackerel had skin, only two fillets, very salty, tough. I think it was kippers! Curry didn't taste like fish. Mystery meat swarmed in curry! Said it was returnable----but wouldn't let me return!!! Only buy if your cat has an iron stomach!!!

Very tasty
Good selection of flavors, some I never heard of before or imagined. Portions are a little small, for me atleast. Definitely recommend those who enjoy treats such as these check these out. My favorite so far was the jalapeño infused, boy do I wish the serving was bigger and can’t wait to order more.

Good Quality, Mild Flavor
The Ocean’s Seafood Sampler Variety Pack has an 8-count assortment of canned fish, including wild mackerel varieties, three of which are smoked flavors, and two wild sardine varieties. These are a product of Scotland, and sustainably sourced, which is a plus. The fish is good quality, mild in flavor, and works well for use in pasta, salad, or as an appetizer, etc.

Korma curry is absolutely delish
I've never been a canned tuna fan but after starting to see tinned fish on charcuterie boards in restaurants I decided to try some. It's amazing! The Korma Curry Mackerel filets are delicious, meaty and mild. Highly recommend.
