Not perfect but fantastic seller support!
This is a nicely designed, fully functional island that provides ample storage space. Although the external packaging looked less than perfect, all the panels and hardware arrived undamaged during transit. The assembly instructions are bad but usable. The issues that I encountered were some of the panels displayed in the assembly instructions were oriented in reverse. Hole guides that should have been on the left side were displayed on the right side in the manual. You have numbers on all the panels so you can work the errors out. The assembly process does take some time depending on your skill level. With this particular unit, I had an issue with a poorly manufactured panel that was remedied very quickly by the seller. Fantastic response and support with minimal interaction once the problem was reported.

Great value!
Took forever to put together but looks good and great for extra storage like I wanted and can wheel it around

Size is great, marginal material tolerance
Unit looks good in our small area. The unit is difficult to assemble. The workmanship is marginal. Some of the shelf pieces split out during assembly. The predrilled hole tolerances did not align with furnished hardware.

Awful instructions and missing hardware
The instructions are extremely difficult to follow and show inaccurate pictures. Had to take apart and redo multiple parts of this. The pictures don’t explain which screws to use for which parts & there are multiple screws in the same bag. Had no idea if I was using the right ones. The pictures don’t show the screw holes correctly which made it hard to determine if the pieces were the right way. Had to rely mostly on trial and error. Also missing hardware. The wood top also came scratched and multiple pieces were dented. For the price, I feel like I should have gotten much better quality. In all it took me 6 hours to put together by myself. Definitely don’t recommend this product.

Good furniture kit but takes time & attention
My wife & I love the finished kitchen island. It provides extra food preparation & kitchen item storage space. Also looks great in our kitchen.I thought I’d have to fiddle a lot with this kit after reading some peoples’ reviews but I encountered no problems of any significance during assembly.Took me about five hours to assemble. BUT I need to mention that I have a lot of furniture & models assembly & scratch building experience. If furniture assembly or fabrication is new for you, you might encounter some difficulties at spots. I’ll try to give some tips to help.1. Before putting anything together, organise the parts and review the instructions to get an idea of the assembly flow.2. There are a lot parts. Try to group the wooden (actually finished MDF) parts together according to the steps they’re shown in the instructions. For the hardware, I used disposable food trays to arrange the parts . Labelling the bins with parts’ letters. (The hardware is well packaged. But I wish the instructions parts lists section was more detailed regarding some parts, giving screw lengths, etc.)3. Have the right tools available. For this kit, the the main tools needs are Phillips head screw drivers. One will do but I like having a short ratchet screw driver. Note: Use caution if you’re using an electric screwdriver; it’s easy to strip the threads of some important parts.5. Take time to make you are working with the right part. The wooden parts have round stickers with identifying numbers. I recommend leaving the stickers on until you have successfully finished the kit. If you want to remove the stickers earlier, find a way to identify the parts lest confuse similar looking parts during assembly. (I used a sharpie marker to write the ID number on a spot I knew was going to covered up by another part.)6. While most of the instruction booklet diagrams was accurate & helpful, I found a couple of diagrams potentially confusing because of some details left off to avoid visual clutter. Tip: pay attention to locations of dots that indicate screw holes & such. Also some pieces have notches or slots that can help.7. Speaking of screw holes & such, this kits has many holes for the can lock bolts next to holes for wooden pegs. Easy to confuse the two. Pay attention to where the hole goes. If goes to a round cavity, it’s for the cam bolt. If shallow hole, its for the pegs. As the cam bolts, the holes for them are lined with a nylon insert. Works well but don’t over tighten the bolt lest strip out the insert.8. The drawer glides aren’t too bad. No special left/right variations as in some kits. Pay careful attention to the holes to place the screws.9. The most fiddly step I encountered was the assembly of panel where strips make a frame and sheet material is slid in. (I think parts 19-24.) It may help to lay the assembly flat on the floor as doing it and/or have another person help hold the pieces in place. This step also requires attention to the part numbers and the parts relative location to each other.10. The good news is that partial or even near full disassembly is possible if you made a mistake & need a do over. Take your time & work it through.11. Starting the obvious: keep little kids and pets out of the work area ;-)

Love this but it needed more quality control
I really love this piece of furniture I have in my kitchen, but I can't say it was easy for my sister and I to put together. We've put other things together before, but this was much more difficult for us 60+ ladies. The drawers were the hardest thing finding the right places to put the screws in for the slide out rails. Where we ended up having the most problem, though, was putting the last cabinet door on. In the factory, the starter holes for the hinge screws were not drilled or marked, so we had to figure that out on our own. Not being cabinet makers or mathematicians, we found much later that we didn't place them properly and after a few uses, the top hinge on one of the cabinet doors came out of the wood. Well, it's particle board or MDF so when the screws came out, the holes were a mess and if we try to replace the screws near them, they will just fall out, again. For now, the door is just sitting on its bottom on the floor of the cabinet while we wish we knew how to fix it. It's not feasible to return the thing because it's all put together, other than that. Otherwise, it's such a nice piece and we love it. I'd recommend it only if you have a little more knowledge on how to troubleshoot when the company that makes the parts doesn't do it right.

Very little quality control before product release
The media could not be loaded. Took way too long to assemble. The directions weren't clear. Had missing pages and duplicates of others. The assembler was experienced with IKEA products and this was a HORRIBLE build. Holes missing or improperly done. Some of peg holes were too big. NO quality control on product. I don't expect it to last long.

Beautiful BUT…
It’s exactly what I wanted and imagined in my kitchen. I love the end result, BUT, if you’re not a handy person and don’t have experience assembling, then this will be your nightmare. Holes are not lining up and a bit complicated to finish. But once it’s done, it’s well worth it. I LOVE IT.
