I love this printer! I just wish it also faxed. I saw this exact model in a store on post. They advertised it as a fax machine as well. Found it on Amazon for less than half the price and clicked buy without a second thought. Not a huge deal, but it does the job I need it to for now. Love how convenient it is and that I can use it from my iPhone and iPad as well.I've printed over 10 pages of very wordy forms as well as 3 black heavy photos from my phone and still have plenty of ink left. Also if you can't afford to buy replacement ink, I suggest buying a printer that uses cheaper ink or save your money and go to a print place.Stop leaving bad products reviews after using unauthorized ink in your printer. The instructions that come with it warn you against malfunctioning if you do.I learned this lesson the hard way a long time ago with an extremely expensive Epson photo printer.Read the instructions very carefully when setting up. When I buy things on Amazon I see that thhe commonality in the malfunction of products is typically from user error. This printer is great!

Clean, neat, installation. No extraneous stuff. Japan made.
Why NOT Brother/HP, but THIS CANON: presumably Brother is a good brand. But at the time of buying this Canon I read review about HP who "owns you" and I did realize that thing that caused aversion from Brother as well: they install way too much stuff on your computer without your permission. You don't have any say. Then you have to live with endless icons in your tray. Then printing/scanning Software doesn't really work, because it's a mess to too many different intertwined pieces.Meet this Canon: during a breeze installation it hints you, that there is some "useful" software as well, but it ends there. Only AFTER all drivers installed, test page printed, you know for sure that printer is operational, only THEN it proceeds to offer you to install the extra software. You click ("Abort"/"No, thank you") And that's it. No extra sh*t.Somehow this printer feels good. It's a pleasure to print on it. And in my case I am almost positive that besides great quality and sophistication, it doesn't try to "own you". You own it, not the other way around.

Nice wifi printer, but installation software and instructions don't work.
This is a nice little printer/scanner, but the instructions in the install software are garbage, so you do need a little technical knowledge to be able figure out how to connect the wifi with password to the computer, and set up the printer driver through windows device (printer) setup. You have to use the menus on the printer's digital display to setup the wifi and options. The printer goes to sleep automatically to save energy, but you can change the settings to your preferences, and it does wake up when you are ready to print something without you gaving to turn the printer back on. Note: the installation software doesn't install correctly, there is no way to return to previous step mid install, and it doesn't prompt you to enter your wifi password do that you have a secure wifi connection for your printer setup, which is not the best way to install the printer. Also, following the installation disc prompts don't explain how to get the printer to ping the wifi so that they can recognize each other. You have to use the printer online screens, and press the button on the wifi, while printer searches for the wifi, then select the wifi name and enter the password from your modem.

Works great. I wish the paper tray would sit flush with the unit.
Works well! Very light! Looks great in any office. It is an inkjet, so the ink runs out after a few hundred prints, but if you casually print things you will be fine. I haven’t checked how much the refills are. I hope it is not too expensive. This printer supports wifi and iOS AirPrint. AirPrint was a must for me as I use my iPhone and iPad for a lot of document work, it is really nice to be able to quickly print from my mobile device. It can even scan to the mobile device!Everything is good so far.One small con that I can think of is the paper tray. When set to US letter size, it sticks out from the printer. While it is not a deal breaker, I think it would look a bit nicer if it didn’t stick out.In conclusion, I love the product, the app works (iOS), and I would recommend it!
