I want to use this under a large sand table for my kids. If it's on a patio in direct sun, will it get too hot to stand on it barefooted?

It depends on the heat from the sun. We used this under a gas firepit and it never seemed to get hot. Squirrels and chipmunks loved it.

Is it easy to clean the fire pit mat with grease on it?

How much does it weigh (in g or oz)? I'm thinking of using it as a fire reflector when camping.

It's very light. Don't know the Oz or g amount.

Can I cut this in half? I want fireproof mats at least 47" x 22" so want cut 2 of your mats in half to give me 4 "runner" sized pieces.

I suppose that you could, however you would have to secure the cut edges with some sort of adhesive. I wouldn’t recommend duck tape, as it will burn. You might try some aluminized tape like used on HVAC duct systems.
