Lifesaver in the hot weather.
I am pretty much using this every day this summer and it works very well at keeping the room comfortable. It is noisy so I have to turn up TV etc a bit. I would not use it in the bedroom though because of the noise. I use a fan there which I can sleep through easily.

Disappointing performance
I bought this after years of struggling in hot summers. With the coming heat wave i thought this would be great.I put it in a small double bedroom (8 feet by 11 feet), having also bought a window seal and vent for the exhaust pipe, but after an hour the ambient temperature had only dropped by 3 degrees (with the bedroom door closed). I put it in our smallest room ( 6 feet by 8 feet) and after another hour of running (plus an hour removing the window seal from one room and moving to another) the room temperature only dropped by 5 degrees. For a tiny single bedroom this is horrendously inadequate. I dont know if this really is a 9000BTU unit or just a powered up 7000 that cycles more fluid/stronger pump/whatever, but it just doesnt do the job. it does provide a cool breeze if you stand right in front of the vent, but i wouldnt say its icy or even cold. the same direct relief, or feeling of coolness is just as easily achieved by a big floor fan pushing air about. for 230 quid, this is the worst purchase ive made in a long time.

Found it quite expensive to run
Came in very useful to cool our lounge during the really hot spells

Worth it despite the noise
It's quite loud, as expected, even in fan mode and does vibrate a bit on the floor so people in other rooms can hear it, but it does cool the room well and relatively quickly. Has definitely been useful during hot days, only thing other than the noise i would say is the LED on the front panel is very bright at night, but will still give it 5 stars as it does what it says on the tin

Cooling floor
Got this unit to cool room, but it will only cool the floor as the cheap, flimsy, poorly designed and manufactured louves keep dropping down after 20 seconds due to slight vibrationConcted them, they asked 1 question, of which I awnswed, then nothing, tried amazon email, phoned, cut off, left message, emailed . Had a week but will have to return unless I glue them in place

Does what it says !!!
I ordered this last week and didn't realise the actual dimensions and thought I might have to send it back for being too small or not powerful enough - BOY was i wrong! This thing is powerful, our living room is almost double the size of the room intended for this air conditioner but it makes the room turn into a fridge within half an hour! For £230 I can honestly say this thing is worth EVERY penny.I didn't expect much from a cheap air conditioner but this thing is brilliant, my testicles have been detached from my thighs ever since!

It cools a room so you can sleep
Very good next day delivery service. It’s not particularly quiet nor is it light but none of these portable air conditioners are. It’s an acceptable trade off just to get a cool room for sleeping. Good handle on top of appliance which means you have a hand free to hold onto the rail should you wish to take it up and down the stairs. Not easy, but doable.
