You would not know this is a replacement for an OEM part. Everything about this palm pad is identical to the original. The product came bubble wrapped and packed in a box professionally - Arrived without damage at all. Everything functions correctly even the backlight. I have zero experience with laptop hardware. I found 30 minute videos on You Tube and I was able to transfer everything over in under an hour. Now, nothing to do with the product itself, but two things gave me a little struggle - figuring out the ribbon connections have little swing up hinges to release the connector ribbons (the You Tube videos showed them being removed but not how), and finding the sweet spot to plug the WIFI cable back into the card because it's so tiny and I have big hands. I also replaced the thermal paste since this laptop is 6 years old. So all I used or needed was thermal paste, a small Phillips screwdriver, and a toothpick (I used a toothpick to either guide or to apply pressure). I couldn't even imagine how much money and downtime I saved. Excellent!

Bought for 17in laptop model by3063s. The shipping package was great. I bought the keyboard along with the bottom case which was needed after the hinge problem. Of course, I took pictures during disassembly and would recommend that you take pictures as you remove components, I only took an initial picture and wish I would have taken one after I removed the battery. Everything is working after assembly, and the keyboard is as good as the original. I did see another keyboard that had some questionable ratings so I'm glad I bought this on.

This was an excellent choice for my husband's laptop. It was as described in the write-up and easy to assemble with all other parts (if you have experience/knowledge of building computers). He is very happy with the purchase

I had no idea that anyone produced this part. But low and behold, with the continued failure of this hinge design by HP it makes sense. Beats the heck out of trying to fix the old one with epoxy, clamps, etc. that I had been doing for several weeks. I highly recommend this product. Seems every bit as good as the original, fair price. Too bad they couldn't have modified it to be better/stronger. Still too much plastic and not enough metal integrated to the stress points. But, I'll take what I can get. Plenty of videos on you tube if needed.

Supposed to be brand new. Looks used to me. Not happy paying full price for a used item.

This was easy to replace, it fit perfectly, it looks and functions as good as the OEM parts. The quality is very good and seems sturdy. At this great price I would recommend it.
