Works amazing, makes my skin feel youthful and radiant!
I ordered this product to use as a facial mask and to mix in with rose oil and soap base to make hand soap. The product mixes well when done properly. Clay powders can be hard to mix if you try to do it all at once, go slowly with 2 parts powder to 3 parts liquid. Adding coconut oil or honey is also very helpful. Clays are very low on the pH scale, so if it’s irritating this is normal, just add a more acidic ingredient to your mixture to even out the pH balance and try again! This product gently exfoliates dead skin cells leaving my skin feeling soft, supple and radiant. It color corrects- reducing redness and rosacea and left my skin with a natural sun kissed glow. Kaolin is a very hard to come by ingredient and this company offers it at an exceptional price, if you’ve looked into the benefits kaolin clay offers and have been intrigued then run at the chance to pick this product up! I will be buying more clay types from this company as well because the price is a steal for how long the pouch lasts! I’ve used this product for a couple of months now before reviewing so that I could give an accurate review based off the results I’ve had from using this mask and I can attest that it makes you skin feel and look so healthy! I’ve seen a few reviews mentioning that it flakes- I wanted to touch on this by saying: DO NOT let it fully dry. This is a very common mistake made with clay masks, we all know gel masks are to fully dry before peeling off…well clay is different, you should never let clay fully harden before you remove. If you let it dry fully before washing then yes, it will flake off and get everywhere. If unmixed to the right consistency and removed in an appropriate time frame the product does not flake off. Overall: I highly recommend this product! To someone who may not be used to powder form makes it may be a bit challenging at first but there’s a lot of how to videos online that would be helpful. And to those that have used powder before, this is much cheaper than other powdered masks you’ve likely purchased in the past.

Finely milled, no added ingredients, rose pink clay.
Would I get it again and would I recommend it: Yes it's a nice rose pink kaolin clay. It's pink from the type of clay, not from an additive or coloring agent.Why:-It's a great option for an unusual to find skincare masking ingredient at a great price and generous 8 oz (1/2 lb pound) size. The quality was excellent and there were no clumps or odors, and it was very finely ground.Pros:-Great value for a hard to find ingredient. You get 8oz (1/2 pound).-High quality. No odor, clumps, it was finely milled. (see pictures).Cons:-NoneTips:-You'll need to store it in your own air and moisture proof container. The bag it comes in doesn't seal that well. I took a picture of a Rubbermaid storage container to show how much is in the bag and what size storage it will fit.-If you're inexperienced with clays and mask making, you might want to note that sometimes just using clay with water can be irritating or drying to the skin.-If it burns your skin or stings, you should learn to adjust the PH. It’s simple and easy to do.-This is due to the PH of the skin and the PH of the clay and water. Commercially made masks use ingredients that are PH adjusters to get the right balance of PH. Each clay has a different PH and has to be adjusted differently and at different amounts.-You can adjust the PH to where it should be to not be irritating to the skin by adding tiny amounts as needed of food grade citric acid or common baking soda to your clay and water mixture. You can use inexpensive PH strips or papers to test (I don't use a whole strip, but tear of a bit).-Google "labmuffin clay PH" for a great article on how to simply and safely do this. I'm not affiliated but a fan. She's an actual scientist with a love of beauty and she explains how to do this to get the right balance of PH.Final Thoughts:-This is a high quality mud for mask making at a great value for the amount you get. It's not an ingredient that's as common as other clays and muds, so it's a find at this price.-Highly recommend.
