I use this with my 2006 BMW 325i which has a Eonon touchscreen radio. Pairs via Bluetooth and I use the Torque app to read it. Works great!

Seems like a good idea yet needs work and better instructions. Would not connect to the head unit no matter what we tried.

This works well as a cheap ELM327 reader, but it takes some doing to get it to work. For one, both the car unit and the scanner have to have the same PIN code. Sometimes it is 1234. Others it is 0000. The important thing is they match. You can change Eonon's PIN code to match the scanner in the Bluetooth settings for that device (sometimes called Eonon or CarLink).Another thing you have to do is go into the Bluetooth settings and pair it as a device. The idea being is the radio is pairing both to your phone and scanner. There are videos that show how to do this on Youtube (Amazon doesn't allow links to it). Eonon tech support is very helpful as well. Usually they can give you an answer to a question in 24 hours.

Finally got it to work well with Forrest's tips:Works as it should if you get it to connect. I spent probably 2 hours messing with it. Pair it from there and enter "0000, or 1234" to pair. Then it will work perfectly. Essentially, if you try to pair and don't get prompt for the password, you're not going to connect and are probably in the wrong menu.(pair in Bluetooth menu first, then in the app, yes you have to do both.)

I got this with the radio and it’s great for a add on. When paired with the radio it’s great. Being able to troubleshoot codes and have the real time info of what your vehicle is doing is great.
