This is good quality and very durable. I used it for a cat scratching post! We have five cats and they each use it daily. It, amazingly, still looks great after a month of use! I would recommend getting a thicker rope if you have a lot of post to cover as this will save you time wrapping.

Great product! I need to replace the rope on my cat tree so I purchase this. The current rope is small and looks just like this stuff. It does smell of vinegar, but just air it out for a few days. It'll be fine.

The smell was a bit too much. I had to leave it outside because it smelled up the whole house.

It's a great quality sisal rope, and is the perfect fit for repairing my worn out cat trees. But, yes, the other reviewers are totally correct about the VERY strong "chemical" odor that just slaps you in the face as soon as you slit open the plastic packaging. Wow.I tried leaving it out in the sun for a few days. But it really only started to dissipate after I applied it to the posts, so it wasn't in the bundle anymore. It's fine now.And there was a thoughtful little packet of powdered catnip included in the packaging. Not sure how they expect it to be applied with the rope, but, you know... thanks!

Working great on cat scratching post, holding up very well. I used gorilla glue. Easy to work with. I used this one roll on all 3 post.

I used a hot glue gun to make it stick. I Like the way it looks need to order more. Idk, what catnip they added with my package but the cats loved it. Looks durable, thicker compared to what my cat tree originally had.

I'm happy with the quality, but boy is this stuff stinky. Even after unwrapping the plastic cover and leaving it sitting out in the garage for a few months, it still has a strong odor. Fortunately it finally started to shed the odor after unrolling and applying this to a cat scratching post. I guess the odor retention was due to the rope still being stored in a roll.The other major problem is how it's rolled. The roll is secured by three ties. Remove those ties and it turns instantly into a tangled mess. It took me a half an hour to untangle and to roll onto a spool.Other than that, it does work well for my purpose, which was to refurbish a cat scratching post.

It's very worth.

Product was good. I got 3 post done before running out. I have a second roll on its way. I had my manager watch over me while I repaired his scratcher to make sure it was satisfictory. Right after I was done, he instantly jumped on it started scratching! I'd say it's a win.Tip for the first time repairers (such as myself). Start at the bottom of the post and go upward so you get a tighter winding of the twine. I learned that when doing the bottom post (the last one) and it went a lot better using gravity to keep them sitting nicely. It also made it so I only had to glue once every 6 wraps instead of each one like I did above it.. hope this helps someone!

The product is good quality and as a suprize i received a cat toy with it ! My cat heard the package open and his eyes went bigger than a weight watchers convention at the cheesecake factory! Thanks ! Little things make it special!

Worked great to recover an old scratching post. Now if only my picky, ungrateful feline overlord would try it.

Did not impress. Did not cover as much as I expected. Came messed up with knots. But worst of all, smells like a glue factory. Will not get this again.
