Theses Lumitronics RV exterior lights are Absolutely Fantastic!
I did not use theses on a RV. I installed them on my Yamaha G9E Golf Cart for Day Time Running Lights. They are bright and work as they should. But, I did Install a Light Bar as well to see better in the dark.easy to mount and install, I did choose to use the clear lens instead of the amber lens.Shipping was kinda strange, they arrived 2 day's apart from each other. so, I'm assuming they came from 2 different locations. All and all, I'm Happy with this Product and they work very well.

Well Built. Good Value.
I bought the light knowing that it would be a while before I would get a chance to review it because our camper was not being used much at the time. But I have finally had a chance to use the Lumitronics RV LED Exterior Porch Light and I am very satisfied with the quality and the light output. However I did not use it as a porch light. I needed extra light in the garage of our toyhauler. There are two happijack beds that electronically raise to the ceiling. This is great for extra room, but the beds block out the lights on the ceiling making them practically useless. This light was just the answer. I hard wired it to the 12 volt electrical system, used some double sided tape and voila, the perfect amount of extra light that can be toggled on and off right there. Even my youngest kid can now have light to play back there. I may buy two more to install in the stairwells. Because the black entry steps can be very hard to see at night. If I mount these in back of the stairwell, these will light up the entire well making it safer to use the steps. And the amber light cover will help keep the bugs away. I am taking a half a star off for the short wires on the back of the light. They are about 5 inches long which makes connection a little tight. 8-12 inches that could be cut to length would be highly recommended. Other than that, I give the light 4.5 stars.

Great replacement as original
First, I am very familiar with many kinds of RV products, lighting, and installation of same. I just want to say that I am much happier with lights that use the common 1156 socket like this one, then the LED "panel" being built in. When a bulb burns out you just change it. If the color is not what you want, change the bulb. If the brightness is not what you want, change the bulb. Great flexibility and cost savings with this style. ANY Led lights, (RV or otherwise), with LED modules integrated into the fixture you will be changing out the fixture when the LED "panel" system fails. And they do fail. RV's in general are made out of products put together that you would usually think of as "junk". Compared to our homes and cars, the construction and material really are crap. What they are is light weight and cheap. The reason is for cost savings in the overall price of the RV, but more importantly, keeping the RV at a weight that can be towed down the highway. It is all a compromise.

I didn't even waste my time installing this garbage
I ordered this expecting to lower the energy draw from my camper battery. When I eventually got to installing this I noticed that the plastic was very flimsy and no rubber backing. The old light that was previously on my camper was way better quality than this one. I am in the process of returning this unopened and just may buy an led bulb for my existing light.
