Peace of Mind

This is not a knock to Rebelution at all, I love the band and this album.However, I wanted to write this review to let everyone know that the copy of the record being sold here directly through Amazon (as of May 2020) is a bit weird.It's labeled as the standard version of the album but it's clearly a mispress judging by my experience and some of the other recent reviews. However, while the two most recent reviews describe themselves as getting the full dub album that's not what I got.As I listened to the album I realized that the first disc is a mix of each of the three releases (standard, acoustic and dub), while the second disc is the standard album on both sides.I'm just going to go through the tracklist for disc 1;1 - Sky is the Limit - Dub2 - Comfort Zone - Acoustic3 - Good Vibes - Dub4 - Route Around - Dub5 - Meant to Be - Acoustic6 - Life on the Line - Standard7-12 are all the standard release versions.Weird mispress issues aside the quality of the album is great, which is the only thing keeping it at three stars and not one. lolMy records arrived in great condition with no warping and there's no noticeable surface noise or popping. The bass is also really clean, every song has really great range. The sound quality definitely benefited from being pressed on two discs instead of being crammed onto one.

This is one of Rebelution's best albums, hands down. I had heard that the pressing for bad for some. I am here to tell ya that they have fixed all the issues and this pressing sounds great! Do not hesitate to get it. It has a nice gatefold and TWO vinyls. It's a great value.

This band is simply stellar. I don't even care if it sounds like I am on their jock, because I am. They are arguably the best reggae fusion band today. The sound of their music and the effort to make some good lyrics (which is noticeably absent in a lot of other reggae outfits), not to mention their ability to rock the house live....they are simply awesome. It's been years since I have seen a band put out three straight awesome albums to start their career like these guys have. The band obviously has a vision and they are nailing it. Sky is the Limit and Comfort Zone are instant classics. Good Vibes will also put a smile on your face. I like that they thought big on this one and created the different versions. My only quibble is that the dub and acoustic cuts maybe should have been shuffled together to break up the "dubness" on the dub album imo. instead of the rigid "this is the acoustic album and this is the dub album", etc. Still a great effort though....

If you liked their last album you'll love this one too. Great tunes with lots of different styles mixed in with good roots reggae. Make sure you get the deluxe edition as it has an extra cd of the album done acoustic and another one dub style. Also check out the Green, another great roots band. They're on tour together this winter, 2012.Also, if you don't already own them, The Easy Star All Stars put out some great stuff a little while ago. One being  Dub Side Of The Moon , a dub version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Their latest release is very good too. One of the members of this band is the one who remixed this album's dub version bonus disc.

Album was the right one and in perfect condition! Sounds clean and beautiful! Love every song definitely one to add to your collection.

This album is a weird match up of different versions of the songs. I enjoy all Rebelution but confused by this “mix tape” of Peace of mind.

Very good modern reggae album! Complete with classic skankin guitars and organs, catchy synth leads and vocal melodies, lots of horns and of coarse, that funky reggae bass!
