Works perfect! My solar panel wasn't getting enough sun no matter where I positioned it. We even replaced it thinking it was faulty. Our Ring battery doorbell camera is at our vacation home so we're not there to charge it as needed. After getting frustrated going long periods without a doorbell camera we decided to give this a try and it does exactly what it is supposed to. I was able to cut the wire shorter and tuck it nicely in our siding and trim so vary little was visible.

Hopefully, this will work out great because the ring solar charger for the ring video doorbell gen 2 crapped out after six months. We bought a 2 pack in June 2024 and 1 of them stopped working December 2024. I’m hoping the electric direct to ring will keep it charged because the 2 tiny screws on the gen 2 are awkward for my fingers. The newest generation of the ring video doorbell is great! No screws if and when you have to recharge.

Works well with my ring camera and they usually last pretty long. In my case I have it outside by the gate so the wear and tear is more but has lasted for few years. Yea I would recommend.
