A great story
I am just getting started on this series, but I'm already thinking, "What am I going to do when I read all of them and have to start waiting for the next one?!"This is a delightful series that is hard to put down. And the laughter! It never ends.

Phenomenal!
I'm reading this hilarious series over for the 20+ time. It has such a great cast of characters, and their actions and capabilities are marvelous. In these trying times, I need fascinating books that elevate my spirit with laugh out loud content, and mysteries that take my mind on adventures. I''ve seen some reviews that claim it is too imaginative, over the top. But my parents are in their seventies and they h ave better beach bodies and are more active than many young people today. This is just the right amount of action & adventure.

Another stellar book by Ms. Deleon
I've read all 4 books so far, and they just keep getting better. I do wish Fortune would let Carter in on her secret, but I can also see why she's holding out.I can't wait to start the next one, I'm so glad I have so many to go!

GREAT murder mystery series
I stumbled upon this series by accident browsing books. The characters are believable and hilarious! I may not live in the south but I do live in a small town. These tales capture a lot of that perfectly interwoven with the main characters exploits. Some of the books may be a bit predictable to some., but I am on #18 and have enjoyed them all. I needed some good reading that wasn't a downer while getting chemo & radiation treatments for cancer and this series has fit the bill, kept my interest in the plot to find the nasty criminal, and made me smile and laugh out loud at the predicaments these 3 lady sleuths get into. ( One is a lovely 30 + yr. old ex CIA assassin and the other 2 are retired 68+ yr.old lady Vietnam Era spies. Only a very few in the town know their history)

Gertie, Ida Belle, Ally and Fortune hunt down a stalker and an arsonist
I truly would love to meet these gals! How does a murder mystery bring you to tears laughing so hard but this book does. Flying from the seat of their pants coming up with almost plausible cover stories is the basis for this group of ladies as they try to solve the disasters in Sinful, Louisiana. How could you not loves these stories!

The antics never stop
So I have totally fallen for all the characters in this series and I can't wait for the next book. I was thrilled that Carter and Fortune were finally getting some romance stirred up. Ida Belle and Gertie are such a hoot, you couldn't ask for a better cast of characters. I admire Carter's integrity, his job has to suck. There are plenty of laugh out loud scenes and we learn more about Ally. I loved learning more about Ally, she is just full of surprises. There were a couple of things that I wasn't thrilled with in this book, especially this book. Fortune doesn't seem to learn from her mistakes. Characters, just like people, are suppose to learn from their experiences and Fortune just doesn't. She lets these little old ladies drag her into some of the stupidest situations. I cannot figure out why she would go back to that bar out in the swamp knowing full well that it would not go as planned. I just keep shaking my head as I read these books, going why in the hell would a CIA assassin let these ladies talk her into these hair-brained schemes, and especially why does she let them come along. Ida Belle is actually pretty handy, but Gerti and any of the other ladies in their group just cause things to go sideways real fast. It also bothers me that Carter is not in the loop. If she can tell these crazy ladies who she really is then why, especially with the budding relationship, can't Carter be in the know of who she really is. I think the biggest problem I have with that is the fact that Carter is not stupid he has to see what's in front of him as much as Ida Belle and Gerti do-they knew right off the bat. So it feels like the author is almost dissing Carter by making him look so stupid he doesn't recognize she has some law enforcement type of training. But he continues to tell her throughout this book that she is just a civilian. I think he gets that she is a very capable "civilian", but by now you'd think he would be trying to draw her out on who she really is. I still loved this book and am looking forward to the next one but I am just crossing my fingers that there is some character growth-and I really want to have some hot and heavy scenes with Carter and Fortune. I want a happy ending too! :-)

Fortunes friend Ally needs help only the Sinful Ladies can provide.
This book sees the fourth instalment of Fortunes escapades in Sinful, Louisiana. Along with her friends Ida Belle and Gertie Fortune is looking into why somebody would want to set her best friend Ally's house on fire. Carter, Sinfuls deputy, warns the ladies to stay out of it and leave the investigation to him (as usual) but this time it's personal, Fortune can't sit idly by whp p.o.ile Ally may be in danger no matter if it does put her developing relationship with Carter at risk. So begins another rousing visit to Sinful where Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie have a whale of a time trying to solve the mysteries which keep popping up, Sinful was such a peaceful place to live before Fortune moved there. Crazy how good these books are and written with such humour. I love them.

Doesn't disappoint!!!
I have read a number of books in this series on my kindle but when I wanted to buy my mum a present I decided I enjoy this series so why wouldn't she. I soon had to read the book for myself as lots of laughing was coming from the corner of the room. I don't think she had got as far as half way before she had me looking up how much it would cost to get the audiobook version, so soon I will have the paperback, the kindle and the audiobook. This book see fortune's new friend Ally in trouble. Leading Fortune, Ida Bell and Gertie to do what they do best, get in to TROUBLE, well what do you expect when you go undercover as a hooker at a joint called the swamp bar? Motorcycle chase, guns, deputy sheriff, wet t-shirts, chickens.....This book has it all.

Loved it
Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Yet another great book in the series. It was nice seeing more of Ally. This time there were more bad guys involved that you knew what to do with. With some romance for Fortune and Carter. On to the next one.

Funny. Intense and incredibly hilarious!
Another great book. Just when you think they can't get much better!! Though this one wasn't as funny as books previous in the series, it still had its moments and it's certainly not my favourite but I thoroughly enjoyed the wild escapades of the swamp team 3.Carter had absolutely one a place in my heart with this one. Finally jumped down from his high horse and the ending also had me swooning!!The mystery of this one wasn't the best but still made for a great story to read.
