Gertie is so funny. She’s stubborn, set in her ways & very loyal but always causing disasters. Ida Belle can do well but Fortune always comes through for them. I love these books & the crazy town of Sinful.

If you are a fan of Stephanie Plum stories, you’ll love Miss Fortune Mysteries as well. Quirky characters, good plots, building romance. A great read.

Jana DeLeon’s books make me giggle and roar with laughter. So much that I’ve literally started wheezing. I adore Fortune and desperately want my own Carter!

I actually laughed out loud while reading in the dark at 3:30am.The stories a entertaining, the writing is perfect.Every goid plan the ladies come up with you know are going to array, but you can't help but route for them anyway.

First time in a long time that I have laughed at the visuals this writer provides. I intend to read the series.

Best book I have read in a long time it is a laugh out lied and and hilarious Writer she has vision and oit shouldn't and I want to go I can't wait to read all of them normally I don't buy books but this one I'm all for.

Too many authors cannot write a series, half of the book was the book before. That is so not the case with Jana. Oh yes you know you are coming home to characters that you love, but you do not need a set up Jana takes you by the hand and you jump into the book with Ida Bell, Gertie, Fortune and Carter. This time some more characters jump into the fun and off and running everyone is in so many different directions. I have two favorite scenes that had me laughing so hard one is when Fortune shoots out a window for the second time and Carter tells her she should not have a gun in her hand. And the other is when someone takes to shooting Fortune and Gertie in the swamp and Fortune has had it so she knocks the guy over in his boat and that boat takes off to shore, up the shore and into Carter's police car. Where are Gertie and Fortune well you know they don't stick around. I had to make a fast bathroom run as I could not stop laughing. There is so much more to these scenes and I won't give it away. But when you become a Jana Deleon fan, as you finish a book you so wonder where does this author get her imagination and Lord Almighty but it must be a fun place to live in. I finished the book and like always I want more and I don't want to wait. I have to yes I know and I won't beg, ok maybe a little off and on but read the book and laugh away. If you have not read the full series start at the beginning only because you will enjoy each so much that it is just a waste of your life to not read them. I love love this author and she could write a grocery list that would be a hit!

This is the third in the Miss Fortune series and you do not need to have read the other two to enjoy this book but I would start at the beginning. Fortune, a C I A assassin is hiding out in Sinful, Louisiana. Her last mission went wrong so she needs a place to hide till the price on her head can be dealt with. Her cover is that of a librarian who has come to town to close up her dead aunts estate but Fortunes not in town twenty four hours before being introduced to the Sinful Ladies Society in the form of Gertie and Ida Belle two elderly (but do not say that in front of them) southern single ladies who were good friends of Fortunes "aunt". Murder and mystery ensues with the Sinful Ladies determined to find the killer themselves. Not that they do not find the sheriffs deputy Carter capable of solving the crime but as the murderer seems determined to frame Ida Belle she needs all the help she can get and the Sinful Ladies have their own way of doing things. Even if sometimes things do not go exactly to plan. An excellent series, full of humour with characters who don't take themselves too seriously i find Gertie hilarious and wish I could meet a woman like her in real life, what a joy. I can't believe I have missed such an excellent series till it was ten books in. Oh well what great fun I'm having catching up with all the fun.

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Yet another great book by Jana DeLeon. With mystery, a dash of and and lots of laugh out loud moments.

I love every one of the books in this series and I can't get enough of them, The books follow a CIA woman who is undercover in a small town trying to lie low but has befriended a group of old ladies that can give anyone a run for their money, the books are so funny you can't help reading them without a big grin on your face and to me it really doesn't matter what adventures they get up to, i could read the books just for the humor of the characters. Cannot get enough.

I am just loving fortune and the gang !! So many twists and turns to keep you guessing and plenty of moments that will have you bent over with laughter. Sinful is an interesting place and I can’t wait to read more of the gangs shenanigans!!

I laughed out loud too many times to count. Like the Keystone Kops with wit and sass, Preston Sturges with murder and zany mayhem. (Gosh not THAT old, just love vintage movies.) Complex sleuthing and terrific characters. I've recommended this author and series to many friends. If you like your murder mysteries completely engaging, classy and clever, start on this series now from the beginning.
