Metene AGM-513S Glucose Monitor Kit, 100 Glucometer Strips, 100 Lancets, Blood Sugar Test Kit with Lancing Device and Carrying Bag, No Coding

I've used CareSensN for over 6 months. The values were consistent. I ordered Ikza model last month but the values were very different by 30 so returned it. I ordered and received this one yesterday and compared with the values of CareSensN. The values of Metene were also consistent but lower by 25 than those of CareSensN. A good thing is the values are consistent but not sure which values are more accurate between CareSensN and Metene. I can take the values halfway.Fasting glucose was 86 & 92 at 10:08am with Metene whereas it was 114 with CareSensN. 2-hr post meal glucose was 127 (4:50pm), 125 (4:49pm) & 122 (4:47pm) whereas it was 151 (4:50pm), 160 (4:48pm) & 150 (4:47pm) with CareSensN.I'm gonna keep using it. It has the USB port that CareSensN didn't have. I didn't have to read manuals but the manuals were very good and I like the design of the monitor. For the lancet device, level 1 was enough to get enough blood. It beeps when it took the blood just like the other CareSensN. You will have to push it in a bit hard. Otherwise it will fly. But it wasn't difficult.I usually come and read but wanted to share my feedback in case it might help others.

My husband had tried many testers. He loves this one. Says it is very accurate and easy to use. Liked it so much he had to buy him a second one to keep at work

Real easy to use. Good price. Accuracy is hard to judge but it seems to work well and results are fast.

The meter works fine, lightweight, easy to use, easy to set the date and time, etc. But the app that you are supposed to be able to download - my computer will not let it because it says it contains a virus and/or trojan. I emailed the company regarding this, but yet to hear back. I will have to look elsewhere for something I can enter manually until this is addressed.I wish the manual was printed with a little bigger font - hard to read. Also, did not come with a USB cord.

Easy to use

I think this blood glucose monitor is average. It consistently shows a result 10 points higher than my old monitor. Hard to say which one is correct. The test strips also have this spring like feature when you insert it into the test slot. You have to really hold onto it, otherwise it will pop out of your hand. The area on the test strip that comes into contact with blood is also in a strange position. On the side, instead of on the end. Even though it is value priced, I wouldn't order this monitor again.

Very good monitor as it’s readings work right in the memory which the ad does not show.
