Al Mar SERE 2000 Folding Knives

I vasilated for a long about buying this knife, as most of my collection is benchmade, spyderco and emerson. I also have one Chris Reeve and one Brian Tiegh, so this new knife has a prime group to fit into. But, I finally did and I could not be happier. Once I disassembled, cleaned, lubed and tuned to my specs, I believe this is knife perfection. Razor sharp, incredible fit and finish and flawless materials. It seems a little heavy when closed, but when open,the balance and handling are perfect. Some might bitch that it doesn't have a super steel, but Buck revolutioned the knife industry with 440. Spyderco still uses VG-10 and nobody questions Ernest Emerson's use of 154. I am already playing and preparing to buy another Al Mar. I've met Ernest and Chuck Buck. Wish I had met Al before he passed. Buy this knife NOW, before corporate accountants cut quality to make a bigger buck and run off the game the old man spent his life perfecting. You to will be glad you did.

The feel of this knife in your hand is just amazing. The overall design is awesome but the only negative thing I have to say, besides the high price, is that it is squeaky when closing the knife. I don’t know if it is because of the frame lock or what but it squeaks. Besides that it is an extremely sharp and good quality knife.

After noticing they discount this knife to $81 occasionally I purchased the knife. They over drafted my checking by placing a hold on my account earlier this week but never shipped the item and now there is no record of the transaction on my amazon account. Today was the estimated delivery date and now I have to go after them to get the hold released.
