Great for color-coding your wiring!
I was in need of some 18GA wiring for some projects. I appreciate the variety of colors because sometimes you need more than red and black. I didn't use the holes on the box, but the rubber bands around each spool do a great job of keeping the wire in place so you don't end up with a bird's nest in your bag. The wire feels solid and the insulation is thick and easy to strip. It doesn't feel cheap like other wire I've used in the past. It has served me well, and I plan on ordering more once I run out!

It works!
I cannot complain about this stranded wire. spooled in a recyclable cardboard dispenser. Flexible as a wet noodle and with high breakdown voltage, heat resistant silicone insulation -it's a winner for replacing years old, stiff, cracked insulation wire -or building prototypes. The variety of insulation color allows me to color-code connections, and sometimes to almost match the original color wiring. Easily strippable with just fingernails.

SINGLE strand SOLID CORE - not multistrand - be sure this is what you want
WARNING: This is wire is single *solid core* not stranded! As long as you are OK with this then I can recommend, but most people are looking for multi-strand wire and will likely return this unless they realize this. The cardboard package is also a very convenient dispenser, with pre-punched holes and clear labelling to see which color wire you are using. Just pull from the individual spool, poke through the hole, and you can easily see and use the color wire that you want. The insulation is easily removed with a wire stripper or even scissors (if used carefully). Mine came with six white rubber bands and a soldering iron tip. I assume these rubber bands are to secure the individual rolls of wire if used outside of the dispenser, but no instructions were included. The hollow core soldering tip was a nice surprise, and may be useful if it fits your soldering iron. In the absence of specifications or instructions you will just need to take your chances with this item. Being a TINNED single core wire, I would expect this would solder easily, but have not yet used it this way, as this is more suited to use with solderless breadboards. Overall I would rate this as good value for money - as long as you understand that this a collection of different color single core, tinned copper wire, on individual spools. See photos.

Great for my purpose
I feel weird writing a review about wire. But, this is nice wire, very well packaged, and at a good price. It is super flexible, which is good for many applications, but maybe not all. It takes solder well, but the strands are more like hair than hard copper wire, so it takes a bit getting used to. Its like the kind of snow that does not make good snow balls. If you twist it, it will eventually untwist if left alone. All of my applications are either soldered, or crimped to some kind of lug, so this works well for me. The blue color is also unique, at least for me, so its easy to differentiate the blue circuit from the black circuit under my table.

Awesome wire for all of my smaller projects
I needed some wiring for my smaller electronic projects and this set fit the bill perfectly! The packaging doubles as a dispenser and I think that is a very clever use that results in less packaging waste. I unwrapped the shrink wrap from the outside, opened the box, poked out the perforated holes and fed the wiring through. It could not have been easier! So far, this has been great quality wiring. It strips easily, tins well, and the silicone handles heat very well during soldering, resulting in no melted insulation. The flexibility makes it much easier to place the wiring inside smaller containers and parts of my projects. The colors make it very easy to get exactly what I need for each project too. The rolls of wire had no tangles and I will definitely be purchasing more. Very happy with this set!

No complaints
I didn't test it in any way, so the only review I can give is based on the limited use thus far. I used it on a couple drones and on a couple pi zero rtc mods. Heat wise, it did not shrink or melt which is what you expect from silicone wire. The stretch wasn't bad. While soldering it didn't get in the way. When removing the silicone from the wire, it did stretch a good amount and didn't bounce back a lot. Not a big deal as many brands have the issue. You just need to be more accurate when stripping the wire. Of course, this is thin wire and my general strippers do not go this low or work so well at this size. I just pinch between my nails, so of course that issue is probably of my own creation. However, in one instance it stretched enough to cover the 2mm wire I had already removed the sheathing from. Pinch wise, works pretty well. Its more expensive, but if you can afford it and don't have the most precise tools available, silicone is the way to go. Its forgiving with heat, its great being used around hot items, its very flexible, and versatile in that regard. I still use PVC, but in limited scenarios such as in a board project that has no movement, heat build up, etc.

Keep the wire; toss the box.
It's great wire but the box becomes a tangled mess so the wire won't pull out. Also, even if you do manage to get the wire to stay on it's own spool while in the box, there is no loop-back hole to keep the wire end from going back in the box when not in use. I could cut some myself, but the box doesn't work at all as a dispenser anyway so why bother. But the wire is high strand count, silicone rubber insulated and therefore is very soft and flexible. I've used better silicone wire before, but definitely not a this price. It's still a great value, even if the box doesn't work as intended.

Very happy with this. The wire gauge was excellent for my project. Easy to use materials meant it was almost effortless to get wires to work as needed. The soft silicone is easy to remove with just fingernails. Which is a plus for anyone with fat fingers and big hands. No need to try and delicately remove the silicone with tools. Just pinch at the desired spot, and pull. The small Guage meant attachment was easy and the limited space provided wasn't an issue. The easy to setup box was a handy way to keep all colors organized. Only down side is the 2 min of prep time needed to string each wire through the provided hole. For most hobbies this is probably not an issue. Will be buying more later and in different gauges as well for other projects that require to other sizes.

I use it for prototyping and making my projects permanent on prototype PCB’s. The wire also slides nicely into bread boards. If you have been trying to find the right wire for your electronic projects, I am quite sure you will not be disappointed with this wire, as the right wire makes the world of difference to your projects.

Great product for wiring automotive lights and indicators + it's really handy being able to use the reels through the box so that you don't end up with unwrapped reels all over the floor. Also easy to cut and strip wires.
