I must not have read the description close enough. These high quality hinges are for shower doors which have glass that has already been cut out for hinges. My application is for new (not tempered) glass which has no cutouts for hinges, I missed the fact that these hinges do not install on new uncut blanks. Keep in mind that if the glass is a blank, it will need to be drilled and cut for these hinges to be used. The hinges are excellent in every way, so my hope is that my cutting skills will allow me to use them.

Only hand tighten screws. Make sure the silicon gasket is flat and conforms to the inner surface of the hinge. Use an airshim (the inflatable bag used to open a car door when you’re locked out) to adjust the space between the hinged glass and the glass wall. Watch YouTube videos on installing. Work with a reliable partner to avoid injury. Use mild soap and water to clean chrome, never use anything but.

These hinges are heavy duty and quite heavy for their size. That's what you want for this application. They were easy to install, came with the appropriate and properly-fitting gaskets, and swing very smoothly.

Great replacement part. Installed quickly in shower room with no issue it’s been one month so far without problem. A slight defect on the metal finish. Otherwise it’s a really good price product.
