**READY to SHIP** Now available for sale - my beaded 1943 Chevy fire truck, Engine Co. 6. This piece was created in memory of a childhood friend who perished in a fire. My beaded fire truck consists of bead embroidery on felt. Tiny size 11 glass seed beads were stitched by hand 2-3 at time using a strong nylon thread. Opalite beads were used for headlights; sterling silver wire & beads for moldings, railings & details; clear vinyl for windows; Ultrasuede & zipper wire for tires; as well as black vinyl for the shadow beneath the truck. Also accompanying this truck is a beaded Dalmatian named Dolly. Dolly was made using tiny Japanese size 15 seed beads. The beadwork is supported by a custom piece of acid-free matboard, then backed with Ultrasuede. Finally, the piece was framed by Stanhope Framers in Boston, MA - in a custom-made plexiglass shadowbox for the ultimate protection! Media: glass seed beads, sterling silver, mixed media...
