It works
I set this up for a Dakboard. It works well, connects to internet easily. Appears well made.

Super Simple Music Streamer!!
Bought this to replace an old "Squeezebox Classic" music streamer that was having issues (random, intermittent, spontaneous reboots). With the help of some online instructions, the use of the PiCorePlayer operating system, and the addition of a DAC HAT, this was a simple and economic replacement for the dying Squeezebox player. This version is "headless", so it needs a phone app to control it, but that's a small thing, and it is dead simple.I'm a happy camper!

Not just fat kids love Pi
Finally after many years I got a Pi 4. Should’ve learn Linux years ago. At first it’s been frustrating but now after some basic tinkering setting up IP cameras, ad guard, Recall Box and Kodi it’s been a learning curve for a forty something year old remembering using DoS commands. Ah the good old aol days and now having to learn a new trade because of a new disability Anyways….Paired with an inexpensive case kit, a pi geek heat sink with pwm fan, a Rii keyboard and a few cheap game controllers it’s been a blast. Its made me learn more about networking which I’ve leaned my router is garbage from my provider.

Great little board with USB 3.
I've been a fan of Pi's for years, and this Vemico Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 4GB is the best yet. I have to admit I'm not sure if the brand name means that it's a "legitimate" Pi, but the packaging looks exactly like I'd expect from a first party product. This board has all the ports I'd expect for things like displays or remote sensors. I especially like how the board has USB3 ports so I can use it with acceptably fast hard disks for for a NAS on 1GB networking. For my purposes, this is perfect for a simple environmental monitoring box which has a secondary purpose of storing backups.

unit died 2 months out of warranty
had it on a surge protector, etc.. now it won't boot, making funny electronic noises. just two months over warranty. make sure you keep these on a UPS and not just a surge protector, folks!

Great but not at this price
So a Raspberry Pi is not for beginners, and it's not entirely easy to assemble. This is the barebones board, and doesn't come with a case or anything else - you'll have to supply everything else yourself. If you're used to setting up computers, then this won't be a big deal at all.The biggest problem is RPis aren't supposed to be this expensive. There's still a reduction in production, so hopefully prices will be half of this, but just be aware that you'll have to pay an additional $30-40 for all the accessories to get this up and running.
