Nice and sturdy helmet!
I got a medium size, but was able to wear it as an adult (I have a smaller head). It has a nice snug fit, easy to breathe in, and takes hits well, both to the foam sides and the plastic face shield. I've never been a fan of foam fit helmets rather than the padded ones, but this is a nice alternative. One of the other instructors with a larger head tried it on as well, and was surprised that it still fit. It has some good stretchability. One strange thing: there's a piece of foam at the bottom of the face shield to protect your chin, but there's another foam offshoot on the same piece in sort of the right place for a mouthguard, except it's also made of foam. As it, it sort of sits against your chin. I didn't mind it too much, but it's an odd addition.Overall a nice helmet for sparring!

Good helmet for MMA
My 14 year old son (6β2β and 250lbs)needed a helmet for his karate class when they do MMA. I wasnβt paying $85 for the one they had so I bought this. The instructor made a comment on how nice his helmet is. I noticed other kidβs helmets pop up when hit with an uppercut but this one stays put. Iβm not nearly as nervous when a full grown adult comes at my son with head punches. I definitely recommend this helmet.

Offers Protection.
Fit is true to size. Face shield offers a lot of protection without affecting vision. Shield attaches easily.

Great Karate Gear for Kids
My sons have been practicing karate for well over a year now. They starting to show interest in competitions where protective gear is a must. This is a great helmet for keeping their heads and faces as safe as possible. Here is plenty of padding and the face mask is thick and sturdy as well. Great product.I sincerely hope that you would find my review helpful.

Nice sparring helmet, but odd shape
The packaging squished the helmet so it was misshapen out of the bag. This was a medium sized helmet and I had my 11 year old (pictured) try it on and there was space at the top. It fit her but technically was a bit large. I had my 8 year old try also, but both kids have small heads. My husband tried and technically it fit the best, but it was tight to put on.The face shield is pretty nice. It may or may not necessitate a mouthguard. But that would be dependent on the rules and requirements of the school/competition you are at.We have the ProForce brand sparring gear and it does seem a bit thicker than this helmet, but not sure if it is due to how it was shipped.Overall it will likely be a good helmet since most of the sparring is not to the head anyway.

Great helmet for taekwondo practice
Face shield is removable / optional. The ear protection helps to absorb side strikes and will help prevent the "cauliflower ear". If you have a kiddo in martial arts and they have reached the level where striking is involved, I highly recommend a helmet like this!

Same quality as the bigger names in sparring gear at a slightly better price.
Owning a karate school I am very familiar with sparring gear. This foam helmet and face-cage is on par with any of the other name brands out there, for a little better price. Easy to attach the cage, 4 pieces of velcro hold it in place, pretty standard, the plastic cage does have foam chin protection, nice to have, some of these types of cages do not have that and can cause the cage to actually injure the wearers chin or even nose if good enough impact is received, this greatly lessens that risk. Nice helmet and cage combo
