Was worried about pattern but the item looks great. Sometimes pieces like this have blurry pattern but not this one, goes well right by the front door.

I would have loved to love this. It's a nice-looking and apparently good-quality stand, with a Moroccan-inspired geometric design that goes with many decors. (My old umbrella stand, which I accidentally broke after 3 decades, was a traditional Oriental design. It was lovely but I couldn't find a successor that I liked as much....it was mainly green and white and red; most have a lot of blue and pink, which would clash in my home.)I regretted that this arrived carelessly packed and broken. I returned it and didn't reorder, because, pessimistically, why would it be packed better the second time around? Too bad. This is the one that got away.

I purchased this umbrella holder because I wanted a bold and beautiful accent for my front hall entrance. I liked the fact that it is 24 inches high, while other umbrella holders seemed to fall between 18 to 20 inches, too short to hold long items upright. The scale of the thing is quite striking. The bold black and while pattern is eye catching and the surface (application of the glaze) is textured which I think adds interest. This item is not inexpensive when compared to many other umbrella holders, but I am pleased to have paid for something that not only does the job, but makes a statement.

Looks nice from a distance but up close the white designs look like they were painted on with whiteout! Pretty disappointing. May return it.
