SRAM Eagle Rear Derailleur Chain Gap Adjustment Gauge

Get the Sram 1X12 working as good as it should.

My bike didnt come with one of these. Not sure why but it was cheap to purchase so I didnt sweat it. This tool works as advertised and is a must have for adjusting your Eagle group set. Ive seen most of peoples complaints about Eagle shifting have been fixed by proper B Screw Adjustment. Specifically with the bike in its sag position. Takes two people to do but trust me it makes a difference. Most shops/builders set the bscrew with the bike on the stand not simulating sag from the rider. That only gets you closed but not dialed. This tool makes that job even easier. Must have!

This thing seemed too expensive, and I was annoyed it wasn't included with my bike that uses the Sram eagle system. I'm a roadie convert and I tried to use the same methods i normally do for setting up a derailleur. Well, that was a mistake haha. This thing really kind of is necessary for getting the most out of your drive train. It was easy to use... and worth it. Im glad I have it in my tool collection!

This is the correct tool to set your b-tension screw on SRAM eagle derailleurs. It's a little fiddly to use, especially if you have a coil spring rear shock on a full suspension bike. For air shocks, you can just let out some air until you get the desired sag and then use this gauge to measure. You can't do that with a coil spring, so you'll need to enlist a friend to do the actual adjustment while you sit on your bike.Having said that... Why on earth didn't this come with my $300 rear derailleur in the first place? And on top of that, why is it almost 10 bucks? It's the cheapest of the cheap quality plastic - a Happy Meal Toy is made with higher craftsmanship than this thing. I get that SRAM is in the business of making money but this is ridiculous. Shamelessly price gouging their customers who are already own their top tier groupset is absurd.

I have my sram eagle N.X. 12sp pretty dialed in the traditional way, but when I learned of this tool I figured there must be something to it if sram themselves took the time to make it. Sure enough my shifting is even better, faster and more accurate. I was actually running the jockey wheel much closer to the sprocket then I should have, it wasn’t causing problems but there is an obvious difference in performance since using this gauge.

A little difficult to see the cassette alignment teeth marks in dimly lit space but I got out a flashlight and had no other problem. Set up my new bike to the proper chain gear gap on my GX12 derailleur and cassette. Also known as the B-Gap adjustment . It should probably be priced at $3 or $4, but ah well. I may only use it a few times in a few years.

While this is perfect for what it does, it is a rather expensive piece of rigid plastic. It makes the job much easier and more exact so it's worth having. It's rather sturdy so I think it will last quite a while.

A necessary part if you need to adjust the B screw on the Eagle derailleur. It’s expensive, but it’s paid for itself in not having to take it to the shop to adjust.

I thought i'd give it a go setting up my SX Eagle 12 speed without one of these, I thought it would have come with my groupset but it didn't. I managed to get the shifting pretty good and going up the casette worked fine but was quite clunky on the way down. I bought this and it turned out my B Tension was about half an inch off, after a slight adjustment the gears are like butter. Massive improvement already, £12 is stupid expensive for what it is but you can buy cheap ones from China if you're not in a rush. Great tool to own.

Einfache Kontrolle bzw. Einstellung der Schaltung, aber teuer - für so ein Stück Plastik. Hatte mir zuvor von einer Vorlage eine Schablone per 3D ausgedruckt, aufgrund der Kommentare der Druckvorlage, dass diese ungenau sei, aber diese Schablone bestellt und die Ungenauigkeit bestätigte sich leider. Für einen Centartikel schon etwas teuer aber trotzdem nützlich, Punkteabzug gibt es für den Preis.
