Holds very well!
I was a little apprehensive about the anchor holding my boat (22 ft Mako) considering how much it weighs. To my surprise, it held extremely well on a day where there was a little chop with some wind. The boat never drug the anchor and held position right where I wanted. It stores well in my anchor cabinet as well. I thought it was going to be too big, but it's the perfect size. Definitely worth the purchase! The area was in the big bend location around St. Marks, FL.

It does the job!
I was concerned that this would work with my 180 sea ray 18' boat, but it is working great with no issues. I bought this small anchor because I was tired of pulling a huge one from the center in my boat; I stored this new one just below in one of the front seats, and it perfectly fits. I am happy with the purchase; it holds very well. I still have the other bigger anchor in the center storage in case I need it.

These types of anchors are great
I haven’t used this anchor yet but, it’s all hooked up and ready to go. These types of anchors will dig in and/or grab on to almost anything. I can’t wait to try it out at the beach.

Worked fine until it didn't.
After having to cut my last anchor last year as it was stuck to the bottom (even with a sliding shackle type) I bought this one with a $40 SS, chain and new 150' braided line. Attached the chain to the base of the anchor and triple zip-tied a link in the chain to the end of the shank per instructions. 2nd use two zip ties broke but recovered the anchor. Third use it stuck in 30' of water and no amount of pulling from any direction, short or long line would free it. Had to cut away $120 worth of gear. 19' center console fishing in the gulf. And the old anchor worked with my new SS bow spirit/roller. Now I will just tie my line to an old anchor expecting to loose it. Went 10 years without loosing an anchor. Bummer. Not sure I can blame the anchor.

Much better than an infernal Danforth and a fair price. You will be happy!
The very FIRST TIME we put out this anchor with a length of chain/rope it held quickly and every time after that. The weld is very nice looking as well as the plating and is better than the picture shown in the ad. We had been trying to use an appropriate sized Danforth type anchor with chain in the Sacramento river at the convergence of the American river for some fishing. We must have attempted 25 times to get a hold of the bottom but absolutely no luck and ruined the day with sore arms. The river had a lot of current but where the Danforth failed the Delta worked great.

Excellent accoutrement for a proper vessel
Well known holding benefits of this style anchor taken to a new level of fit and finish. When paired with appropriate ground tackle the Five Anchor Delta Wing sends a clear message that your boat deserves nothing but the very best. We use it in mostly sand in salt water. For less than the cost of a fill up we moved from galvanized to this for our new boat and could not be more pleased. Highly recommend.

It works! 16.5# Delta plow anchor
Have used it 3 nights now on the Tennessee River, in 10 to 12 feet of water and light winds. Anchor hooked on backdown and held all night with 55' out. 50' of 1/4" G4 with 150' of 1/2 rode on anchor setup.
