Campbell Biology: Concepts & Connections Plus MasteringBiology with eText -- Access Card Package (7th Edition)

I was an education major, but this was the required text for my first biology course that took my freshman year of college. I definitely struggled through biology, but I found the text to be very resourceful and applicable to the course. The book helped me prepare for my examinations, even though the instructor did not always follow the book. As far as the material quality, I found the book to be very well held together. It withstood my abuse of carrying it around campus and being lodged into the back of my car for days. After I was done with the course, a nursing major asked to borrow the book, and she used it the next semester. The book was still like new after she was through with it, with the exception of her highlighting it in. That's how well the book held up!

Why do I purchase on Amazon ? To save money, the product is deliver to me free and I don't have to drive from my rural area to a larger city and pay their state tax, city tax and other bloated made up add on pork fat tax!!! Oh, down off the soap box now. And I can return it for money once I am done with it.

The book is definitely used upon opening the package the book fell out of the binding, we weren't to concerned at this point knowing we rented a used book. Then came the fun part we tried the access code and of course it did not work, yes it states in the description that it might not work. Call amazon to see if anything could be done about the access code, they were nice and tried to help the first call. We were able to get a number for apex media, suppliers of the book, no help whatsoever from them. They referred us back to amazon. We called amazon again and the answer was "We can't help, it states in the description the code might not work. So you might as well just order the book and purchase the access code straight from the site, mastering biology. It's kind of false advertising to say sold with the access code even though there is a small disclaimer stating "might not work". If the book is used and the code has been used of course it's not going to work again. Buyer beware.UPDATE; After returning the book with the broken binding, which we informed amazon of we were charged $235.00 for a damaged book. We called amazon the day the charge was posted to our account, amazon informed us that we would receive a refund. Its been 3 weeks and a few phone calls later and we still don't have a refund.

I received this book in early September, on time for classes. I recently tried to return the book but was amazed when I found it was being returned because it was the wrong ISBN number. I was confused since I had ordered the book with the ISBN listed above only to find out that the ISBN number was different in the book I had. So I just received the book back today five days after I was promised it would be back here. I searched online for the ISBN from the book and was amazed to learn that the book I had used this past semester was not supposed to be released until January 28, 2012! Apparently I got a book that has not been released yet in September. This probably explains why I had no access code.SO now I sit here wondering how I am going to trade in a book that has "supposedly" not been released yet. I am unsatisfied because the money I would get from the trade-in value was suppose to go towards buying books for next semester that are going to cost more than my previous semesters. But other than that pretty much there was no noticeable differences between this book and the one listed here.I do want to say that the book was amazing. I really learned a lot this semester and liked how each chapter was broken up into numerous sections that made it easier to focus on the different aspects on each chapter. Also, when I did my online quizzes the book was extremely helpful too when I needed to look up questions that I was unsure of. I highly recommend this book for anyone taking an Introduction to Biology Class as it is a great way to introduce the student to biology. I just wish I could figure out the ISBN issue!!!

I love this textbook, it is extremely informative and has helped me tremendously in biology class. My school only had binder editions of this book and they were more expensive. This one is hardcover and came in perfect condition. I appreciate this very much!

I purchased the book new, and it came just as it was described. This may be obvious to some and not so much to others, but just as a precaution: the MasteringBiology access code is not provided with used books.I'm overall very satisfied with my purchase.

This book has evidently been used many times before. It is NOT in perfect condition and you WILL NOT try to scam me out of full price at the end of my rental agreement as you are currently trying to do with another rental!

I really needed this book for my biology class and at my university it cost sooo much but this book was really affordable for the exact same quality ! It was my first time buying from amazon and I must say I will buy from this site again.
