CK Products No.1 Sanding Sugar, White

We have ordered a number of bags of this sugar over the years and it always makes our cookies look amazing. My wife has a small bakery business and she counts on this sugar to give a couple of her recipes that professional look. I love the crunchy texture of it as you bite into a soft, warm cookie. It arrived quickly and was exactly what we ordered. We will be ordering again soon.

This sanding sugar worked perfectly with a stencil to decorate the top of a cake. It was small enough to get into the details of each letter of the stencil. The letters were clearly-defined by applying a thick layer of this sugar and the color stood out nicely. It would also work well for decorating cookies and cupcakes, since the shaker makes it easy to sprinkle the sugar. The sugar was tasteless, unlike some other decorating products. It remained stable atop a whipped cream frosting for several hours and did not melt into the frosting, even though the frosting was softer than traditional buttercream frosting.I had bought CK's crystal sugar, sanding sugar and jimmies to try to decorate this cake, since I wasn't sure which size would work best. For comparison, I have included a picture of the sugar crystals (in black, at the top), along with the sanding sugar (purple, in the middle), and jimmies (in purple, at the bottom). Hopefully, this will help you better decide if this size is appropriate for your needs.

The colored crystals add such a cute touch to cake pops, ice cream, cookies, you name it! The purple is a beautiful dark amethyst. Really pleased with the value and amount you get.

Good texture and color.

I’m giving 4 stars because the color is not as bright as pictured, it’s going to be ok, but if your looking for that really bright punch of color, this doesn’t quite do it

Item was shipped super fast and packaged great! Tasted great! Looked great! All around perfect sanding sugar! I purchased the Dusk Blue. It is a darker shade if subdued blue, just under navy, with the perfect amount of sparkle!

I love these sanding sugars! I’ve bought 2 colors so far and they are very vibrant and true to color. I use this for a sugar rim on my drink specials at the restaurant I work at. They work great and make my drinks super pretty and eye catching!
