Shower Hose, 69 Inches Extra Long Stainless Steel Handheld Shower Head Hose with Brass Insert and Nut - Durable and Flexible(Chrome)

Well packaged, plumbers tape provided, great quality.While the hose included originally with my shower head is still in working condition, it’s just way too short. What I didn’t realize is the difference in quality! The original hose is basically clear plastic with spirals of metal (?) on the inside; if you look closely at picture #1 you can see the old hose hanging over the shower to dry in the background. What a difference!Now, I realize it lasted well but keep in mind, I live by myself and no-one is using the shower but me, so there’s only careful use.This new hose is completely enclosed with metal links, very flexible without the usual tangle and the extra length allows me to do my chores without worrying that stretching too far will pull the connection out of the wall. The installation was super easy and quick (I’m in my 79’s). I appreciate the tape provided.I highly recommend this quality product at a great price.

Definitely not the most durable hose I have ever used. The previous hose I was using lasted for 10 years I only upgraded to this to have a longer hose in this cracked and broke off right at the faucet. Suggest trying something else

I purchased this item in December 2022. The hose that comes with shower heads are just too damn short especially if you have and bathe your own pets. This has a great length and durability for maneuvering all angles all through the tub with sheer ease. Its been utilized at least daily since I got it and only recently have I seen any tarnishing on the exterior which has had no effect on its performance or use. While it didn't fix the fact that my shower head leaks, no prior hose or connector has prevented it either including the manufacturer one. The connection point at the faucet hasn't leaked with this hose and is still holding strong. I've also repurchased this item for my family members that have mentioned wanting an item like this but not knowing much about how it will hold up 6 months to years down the line, and to my knowledge its worked as well for them as it has me.

The old hose that came included with the handheld shower head had developed a leak which eventually grew beyond annoying to the point water pressure at the head was severely compromised.This replacement looks nice, was easy to install, and has restored full functionality to the shower. At a reasonable price as well. Call that a "win" across the board.But I discovered, much to my disappointment, that not all hose ends and brackets are created equal. The fittings are standardized, but the trim piece on the old hose end attached to the head had a wider, somewhat conical shape than this replacement.Thus, the new hose does not sit snuggly in the bracket, but has some unwanted "play." I suppose I could wrap the end with some duct tape or similar to compensate for the sizing mismatch, but we would rather live with a head that rattles around when in the mount than the ugly "hillbilly plumbing" appearance that would create.Would have been nice if this potential mismatch was disclosed, even nicer if an option was offered to select the proper diameter trim piece. And thus, we lose a star on the rating.

This replacement hose is a simple "one for one" replacement. My existing shower hose was similar to this part, but not exactly the same. It was chrome, but it had a clear plastic outer layer on the entire length of the hose that this one doesn't have. It's actually better without the plastic outer layer because water tends to get in between the clear plastic and the chrome hose. Also, the plastic outer layer makes the hose much more stiff and harder to bend. The new hose feels much more maneuverable. My installation didn't require any tools. I hand-loosened the old hose off and hand-tightened the new one on. The part came with a small amount of teflon tape that i put on both ends (the detachable shower head and the fitting coming out of the shower wall). Once hand-tightened, I checked for leaks and found none. The entire process was very simple and took less than ten minutes to complete. Hopefully, it will keep its chrome finish over time.

One comment I have for everyone the Teflon tape is not needed in fact it will cause the threads to leak if you use it. The seal is done by the rubber seat so if water gets past that the Teflon tape will not work because of the course plastic threads. Teflon is great for fine metal threads but in this case the rubber seat is what makes the seal. The hose itself is GREAT and seems to work well so far with no leaks and is extremely flexible and long.

its been a month since I installed the new shower hose. Love the extra length. So far no negatives it was easy to install, You don't need the thread tape as both connections have the rubber washed so all you have to do is screw it on and shower.

It lies and flexes well. It doesn't weigh too much. The extra length really helps.However, when I tighten the nut, it warps. The connection didn't leak or anything, but that still makes me concerned.Still recommended.

Although it says you don't need any tools for installation you should have a pair of pliers handy to tighten the fitting. The product functions perfectly and looks good too.

I needed an extra long shower hose so I could bath my dog and save on grooming costs. It's already saved us money! We were sure that the water pressure would be compromised but we were pleasantly surprised to find no change. However if you have a water saver shower head you might have to change it. It seems to be of good quality and my husband installed it easily.
