Lovely book
Beautiful illustrations and love the way the theme is covered in the story. I needed a book to cover the subject of worry and anxiety with my 5 year old. I wanted a way to discuss it without putting too much pressure on the subject or making it a formal discussion and making him worse. Can’t wait to read it to him :)

Nice story to help ease anxiety
Nicely written and illustrated kids story about dealing with anxious feelings. What I especially like is it incorporates some simple breathing and mindfulness techniques into the story. My daughter is sometimes resistant to those types of exercises but as part of the story finds it easier to join in. Would recommend.

I fell in love with this beautiful picture book
‘The Worry Tiger’ is written by Alexandra Page and illustrated by Stef Murphy.Rory is fretting about tomorrow’s show-and-tell at school. As he falls asleep he finds himself in a dream jungle. There he meets a gentle tiger who tells him that she is his worry tiger. She guides him through the jungle suggesting ways for him to relax and deal with his anxieties.I immediately fell in love with this little picture book. While it’s intended for children aged 3-6, I consider it a book with a message that will appeal to all ages.Alexandra Page writes about mindfulness and calming techniques in a way that is simple and direct. Stef Murphy’s illustrations perfectly complemented Page’s words. Her use of colour was breathtaking.I am recommending ‘The Worry Tiger’ to my friends with children and grandchildren.

A lovely thoughtful book
This is lovely. So gentle and full of kindness and tenderness. I love how it can help children (and adults!) to learn to deal with their fears and worries.Stef Murphy's pictures are wonderfully clear and evocative and I adore the mixture of poetry and prose in the narrative, with the tiger speaking in rhymes. It's a beautiful book.
