Easy to install. Good quality.
Installed 80 of these between my 25 year old house and a new workshop. Took most of a Saturday, and these are easy to fit and seem to stay put quite well. As others have reported, expect to do some mortar cleanup on all or most weep holes to clear out stray mortar, and in some cases chisel out 1/4" or more or mortar to get these to fit. I chose to go after the mortar instead of cutting the stainless steel mesh devices. I just installed them so I can't speak to their effectiveness, but I can't imagine how anything larger than an ant could get through them. Quality is high, the devices are kind of spring-loaded and easy to adjust the width. I tapped them in with a small hammer and wide flat-blade screwdriver once the holes were cleared out sufficiently. Good inexpensive solution, highly recommend.

Easy to install - With pictures
The biggest issue with installation is creating a clean hole to insert the covers into. I started out with a narrow chisel (okay .. it was an old screwdriver) and quickly realized that having to do this 41 times was not going to be pleasant. (Kudos to my wife for asking if there was something easier...) I found an old 5/16" masonry bit and chucked it up in the cordless. I found that I could break up the excess mortar, clean up the sides and open the slot enough that I didn't have to trim any of the covers.Pics :1st is the weep hole to work on.2nd - inserting the bit and spinning it up. I used an in and out, up and down and side to side motion to clean out the holes. In some cases I even had to angle the drill and engage the drill as if drilling a hole. Mortar is somewhat brittle and drills and breaks up easily.3rd - without folding, i dry fit the cover. I'm looking for it to slide all the way to the crease for a good fit. Notice the little pile of brick and mortar dust.4th - gently fold the cover and slip in in. I made sure it was sitting on the bottom of the hole5th - with a rubber mallet, gently tap the cover in. It will usually go in straight, if it slides off one side or the other its not a deal breaker. Tap the cover in until flush with the brick .6th - Cover in flush7th - I wanted a little better closure. What I mean is the slots are fine but I wanted to leave no holes at the top or bottom of the cover where it slides in. So i used a little piece of wood (in this case some scrap luan ply) and "seated" the covers.I put in 41 around my home without any issues. Your mileage may vary ...I hope this helps anyone using these covers.Bob

Clever, works. Overpriced.
Looks very nice installed, not messy. Needed snips to adjust size to varying sized weep holes. Took about 45 minutes to install 10 of them. Crazy expensive for what they are - but since no other company sells anything like this - I chose to purchase these.

Great solution!
Great product. Covers entire weep hole. Mice will not be able to get through. Most of the weep holes had to be cleaned out of the extra mortar so that the covers could fit in. Most of the covers also had to be cut slightly shorter as they were taller then the weep holes. Installation may take some time, but overall this is a great product.

These require a full brink width weep hole to be installed
The idea is good, but the device _only_ works on a weep hole that is the full size of a brick plus the width of one layer of mortar. If there is anything smaller, or obstructed, this cannot be used. Perhaps if there was a way to cut it, but it is steel, so not likely to have anything at most homes that can cut it.The edges are sloped, so if the height is not full, it can still be inserted, but not completely. If the brick is cut, it is not possible to install. For the places that it fits, it works well. It looks like stainless steel, so hopefully it won't rust. I'll know in a few weeks. :-)

Very well made
I installed 95 of these with not much problem, but have a good metal sheer so you can reshape to fit. The problem is not in the product, but rather the masonry. There was a lot of cement toward the back of the hole, which required me to cut done some of the top and back so they would neatly fit. I tried drilling out the masonry with a drill bit as someone suggested; this did not work well. It was simpler and faster to reshape the product. Make sure you have a heavy duty sheet metal sheer, however, because the product is not flimsy.

good determine for rodents
It is a strong and firm piece of metal. Takes some strength to narrow the sheet to put in the weep hole, but pliers or a wrench helped to insert and a hammer helped to push it in. A mouse would need to spend a long time to make a hole large enough to enter. This is much better than mesh.

Good for covering weep holes in brick
The covers worked well. Some I had to trim to fit where the height of the weep hole was shorter than a full brick. This was easy to do with some tin snips. I feel like they are overpriced but other than that a good purchase.
