Jeff Gorvette is Lightning McQueen's original design
Not to many people know that Lightning was actually originally a corvette. John Lassetter is a huge corvette guy, spent time at the Bowling Green Corvette factory and museum prior to production. Lightning was going to be a C6 corvette. Unfortunately, licensing issues (namely toy car rights) spoiled the deal.This is why Jeff Gorvette's team chief is John Lassetter :)
