All the right ingredients and tastes like a candy bar.

So there I was, wandering through Trader Joe’s, minding my own business, when it happened. I spotted the Barebells Vegan Protein Bar - Hazelnut & Nougat. “Oh, another protein bar,” I thought, completely jaded by countless chalky disappointments. But curiosity (and hunger) got the best of me. One bite in, and I blacked out. When I came to, I was clutching the wrapper with tears in my eyes, whispering, “Where have you been all my life?” This thing didn’t taste vegan—it tasted like someone melted a hazelnut dream into a bar and said, “Here, have muscles and dessert.” I did what any rational person would do: I returned to Trader Joe’s the next day and hoarded boxes like I was preparing for the vegan protein apocalypse. But even that wasn’t enough. The fear of running out was real, so I did what any unhinged snack lover would do—I ordered a stockpile from Amazon. Boxes arrived at my doorstep like hazelnut-filled care packages sent by the snack gods. Now, I’m swimming in bars like Scrooge McDuck, and I sleep better at night knowing I’ll never run out. Trader Joe’s employees recognize me, my Amazon delivery driver is concerned, but I have no regrets. 10/10, would panic-buy again. If loving Barebells is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

I’ve been eating these more frequently because they are so tasty and filling. I have especially enjoyed the plant based hazelnut since I can’t do dairy or gluten. However, I could not figure out why my stomach has so upset…until I was about to reorder and I noticed the warning about a ‘laxative effect’ from the sugar alcohols in tiny print. Come on. Can’t we find something else to use other than Malitol? Never buying again.

These are pretty good but also quite expensive for what you get. They taste nice and I like the texture of the outside with the hazelnut chunks. I wish the inside was a bit moister and chewier -- it's pretty dry. The macros could be better but they're good for a candy alternative or a quick protein boost.

These taste great, like a candy bar, but they don’t have much protein, especially for the calories and sugar. Best tasting vegan protein bar, for sure. But I would only get it if you want a less unhealthy candy bar.

So good!!! Love these so much. I dont like chocolate but hazelnut is the best and these do not miss. They give me the sweet fox I need.

They are edible, but may be the worst flavor for the brand. Almost taste like chalk.
