Binding :)
Just got my book and looking intently at the binding and I believe the issue has been fixed - gorgeous book! I will update if anything occurs.....Ok - I’m reading - these pages are gorgeous and HEAVY - each one of them 320 PAGES - it doesn’t seem bad but they do pull away a bit from he binding but they are sewn together so it’s holdingTo be honest the quality of this book is gorgeous and outstanding and because of that I don’t care if it does pull away - the pages are heavy glossy and A+I’ll let you know at the end of it holds up!OK - I am more than halfway thru and yes it separated a bit - but honestly I don’t care - once you feel how heavy the pages are and the book, it’s not surprising... LOVE THIS BOOK! Omg I want to create the high line here on my 5 acres!

Pretty Spectacular
Ok, my initial review was a ONE star because I literally judged the book by its cover, which arrived completely broken, the spine was broken and bits of glue were falling everywhere. BUT, I’m upping my review to 5 STARS because it’s really one of the best gardening books I’ve ever read. So, no bueno to the poor quality of the binding, but the pictures and the eloquent writing are superb! To wit: “The warm glow of early evening sunlight illuminates Gansvoort Woodland in this mid-April view from one of the Whitney Museum terraces. The ever present urban context ensures the scale of the High Line’s gardens is at once intimate and immense. Though Dawn viburnum is barely discernible from this height, it’s color and fragrance are inescapable delights for visitors passing by.” Wow.

Inspirational photos!
I fell in love with the Highline Garden on an April visit to New York and wanted a permanent record of the plantings. This book is perfect.

Beautiful book, terrible binding!
I bought this book knowing about the binding problems. For $14 (including shipping) for a used copy, I am treating it as a temporary treat, like a movie. The pictures are stunning! I very much enjoyed poring over each thick, glossy page. It’s a lovely source of ideas. The story of making it a public resource, and how it was reconstructed, was interesting. I want to make a visit to this remarkable park!I'm not sure what I will ultimately do with the physical book. The large heavyweight pages do come away from the foolishly lightweight binding. Loose leaf is one idea to preserve it, I guess. The other idea would be to order the kindle version. It would be nice if this book was reprinted at some point, but I doubt it.

GREAT BOOK; SHODDY BINDING
The book is exceptional. It offers wonderful views and understandings of this amazing garden(s).However the binding of the 2017 paperback was terrible. It fell apart after one "gentle" reading.Hope the hardbound edition is better. The book deserves more "support".

Really poor binding. Cover has come off. Pages falling out.
The pictures are amazing and the write-up is very informative. I’m just sick that the book is made so cheaply.I would return but I gave as gift as return window has passed.

Great book and the photos are outstanding
Great book and the photos are outstanding. I cannot say the same for the shipping, as the cover is soft it arrived bent. I was able to repair the damage my self.
