I've used this a lot. Nice and sharp from factory. I think I've had it 2 years and just now need to sharpen it. Got weight to chop frozen and even some bones.

I’ve watched this knife for a while now. I saw a couple negative reviews about the handle problem and I guess they got a bad one (sorry.) but I’m delighted. This thing is heavy. Full tang and I’m talking thick metal. I might post some vids after but just know it cuts paper into shreds right out of the box. Shaved a few of my fingers too (yea, I’m Neanderthal lol). So far so good. I haven’t used it yet. I’ll update after I do. Oh - and the sheath is also very nice. I’m doing to douse it with Neatsfoot oil to soften it up. I always use Fiebings as an old go to for my leather goods.I can’t remember the last time I was so happy when I opened something. This is the real thing and you can’t beat the price.I know what didnii no expect for the price. But, I had my hopes up. No where in the ad did I see China mentioned. And as I take it outside to treat the sheath, on the end of the box is see: Made in China under license from Mueller Austria. Sad. Just very sad that everything seems to be the same.I’m an avid knife collector and I enjoy knives from all over the world. China is not on the list of high quality knives unless you’re talking a Takeshi Saji and I’m not dropping that kind of cash on a kitchen knife unless I win megabucks. lol So, we shall see. I have one other Chinese knife. But, I was aware of its origin before I bought it. It needs sharpening each time I use it. I hope this one can hold an edge.I treat this like my cast iron. Steamy hot water. No soap. Rinses off easily and then I coat with a light layer of avocado oil and hang it in the knife rack - not in a wood knife block. Allow it to air. No rust and still sharp as can be.

So I bought this knife after seeing videos of different people using it, and it seemed like a very versatile kitchen tool. The Appearance of it being a chopper, slicer, and the width of the blade to use it as a scooper for chopped products had me excited. This is a heavy knife, I mean it is listed as a cleaver. While heavy I find it to be well balanced and the weight does most of the work for you while chopping and slicing. The handle is comfortable in my hand and I have large hands, so it might be a bit much for someone with petite hands. It's very sharp right out of the box.my girlfriend sliced her finger, with just a slight tap of the blade against her finger. It chops and slices most items with ease, I literally was slicing through the cartilage of a rotisserie chicken and didn't even realize it. I got this during prime day, so I can only speak on the price I paid, 25.00 was an insane price for the blade I received. The leather sheath is thick leather and has a belt loop and a snap retention strap if you want to wear this on your belt. sturdiness of the product.... Well I'm going to say excellent as of right now, I've owned it less than a week, and I hate to say it's going to hold up to everything this soon. I've have chopped, diced, sliced and scooped with the knife and nothing has come loose yet. I'm a hand washer so I can't speak on the handle holding up to dishwashers and the heat cycles.

Extremely sharp, easy to use, cuts through bone like butter. The weight and shape make it ideal for a wide range of applications. Genuinely excited when I get to use this knife:)

I bought four of these for Christmas gifts. First impression was not good. The wood handle is not flush with the full tang leaving a lip that rubs on the fingers. I bought these based on the high reviews, was disappointed when I pulled it out of the box and held it. Very noticeable uncomfortable grip. Thought I might have gotten a bad one so opened the remaining three. All were like that. Very surprised that no other reviewers mentioned this that I saw. On a good note and the reason I gave it a four star is because I paid under $20 after sale price and out of the box this thing could split a hair it is so sharp. Well balanced and I believe it will serve me well. Time will tell if the blade holds up. For the price point I am happy with it, not so happy with the feel of the grip but will get over it because I did not pay over $100 for it.

This cleaver came sharp. Matter of fact it is so sharp I really have to be careful just cleaning it. Nice weight for chopping etc. Nice quality too.

Despite it's shape, the knife is versatile. I use it everyday and it arrived very sharp. I recommend.

This is all you should ever have to pay for a good quality knife. The style, size, weight and sharpness Is of top-tier. The tallness of the knife is a definite treat, Just wait until you try it. Everyone I know that comes over and uses this knife is instantly amazed and wants one. I will be buying at least three more for gifts this year for Christmas. Hopefully they get back in stock soon!
