Voted 5* by the bees. They'd plugged four tubes on the first day of my putting it up on the side of the shed. Subsequent days have seen further occupation. The accommodation is small (bijou) but quite attractive and is obviously exactly what the expected clientele were seeking...Happy bees...

Lovely little insect house
Got this for the new garden seating area as we love to watch the bees and insects busying themselves. This one is good as it has a solid back unlike others we've had where the bamboo bits have fallen out of the back. The metal roof means it should last longer without rotting. BUT be careful where you mount it as the sun will reflect off it and whack you in the eye!

Good starter hotel
Would recommend this bee hotel if you have limited space. Approximate measurements should be taken as approximate. Mine is 17cm high and wide measuring by the roof. Depth is a few ml under 10cm. Sturdy construction and will do the job. The hanging attachment on the back has been screwed down tight so will need to loosen it off, seems a thin piece of metal to take the weight but I am sure it will be fine. Cleaning brush very handy. Fast despatch and delivery.

Wild Bee House
Very well made item. The overall measurements includes the overhanging metal roof are 17cm High, 17cm wide and 12cm deep. The weight is approximately 760g. Unfortunately most of the bamboo tubes aren’t deep enough so this is not actually that suitable for the solitary bees you may be intending to attract. Also I find spiders love the tubes too so the poor bees have to run the gauntlet every time they visit the tube. Disappointing as it just needed to be five centimetres deeper with full length tubes.

Ordered 2 of these as my old one is full. They are super cute. Very sturdy, and the metal roof is a lovely addition which will also stop the rain from soaking into the top of the house. I highly recommend these. I have now ordered the XL one to match.
