Can a pocket clip be added to this multi-tool? I've heard the Wave clip won't work, but is there another way?
Where would I buy replacement blades for the wire cutters?
What material are the replaceable jaw cutters made of? 154CM/tungsten carbide/something else?
What is the type of snap used on the sheath ?

Leatherman's worst nightmare

Recently, I read an interview with Mr. Tim Leatherman from 2019 in which he stated about the Leatherman clones coming from China, "The price is about one-tenth of ours, but the quality is about one-twentieth. Nevertheless, the day is going to come when the price is 50 percent of ours but the quality is 80 percent."Well, unfortunately for Mr. Leatherman, that day is here. The Leatherman Wave's patent has expired, and now the opportunity for a true Wave clone is possible.Enter the Flissa 16-in-1 multitool. This is the closest to a Leatherman copy I've ever seen, along with the Ozark Trail Multiforce, and the price is about 25% of the Wave and the quality is near 90%, at least on the particular Flissa multitool which I've received. Results may vary. I'll get to the 90% in a minute.Compared to the Ozark Trail Multiforce, the Flissa is far smoother to fold and unfold, the liner locks are much less stiff, and the Flissa features replaceable wire cutters and a precision glasses screwdriver, while the OT Multiforce does not. And the Flissa is cheaper to boot. Now for the mandatory Wave comparison, I will admit that I no longer own a Leatherman Wave. At one point, however, for about two days, I did. I decided to return it based on the buyer's remorse associated with paying over $120 for a single tool. Therefore, I don't think I'm qualified to compare this Flissa tool to the Wave, but I must say that the Wave was a fine tool when I handled it, although definitely not fine enough to warrant a 4x price differential from the Flissa.Anyhow, I digress. On to the actual tool itself. The black coating is painted on as opposed to being oxidized black. This means that over time, the paint will chip off and the tool will be less black. Leatherman paints some of their multitools as well, such as the Skeletool and Signal. I don't think it is a problem. The only other problem with this tool is that if you order the black version, prepare to sharpen the serrated blade, as the blade is painted over upon arrival. This wasn't a deal breaker for me. I can sharpen a blade if it means saving $100.These issues could likely be avoided by buying the plain stainless steel Flissa, but I like the look of the black one better. Those are the only reasons I would say this tool is 90% the quality of a Leatherman Wave, based on my limited experience. That, and the Wave using slightly better steel. I don't notice a difference.I can say for certain, however, that this is the best copy of a Leatherman Wave I've found so far, and while some people may deny it - probably due to the embarrassment over having spent $120 for a single tool - the Flissa seems like a very good alternative to more expensive options.Hopefully this can be a wake-up call for Leatherman to stop overpricing their tools and start truly innovating again.

Decent budget multi tool

With coupon this was $26. My wave+ was $109 or 4x the price.Fitment is good. Able to one hand blades and they are reasonably sharp. All blades and implements are correctly stamped . All locks work fine.Finish. Not great. I immediately noticed the square edges of pretty much every inch of the frame as soon as I held it. Edges are not beveled. I cleaned edges up in about 20 minutes with a diamond stone. Much better now.Is it durable? That depends on what you consider durable. The wave+ is not a heavy duty tool nor is this. They are both light or at best a medium duty multi tool. Is the Leatherman Wave+ better? Definitely but it cost 4x as much. This is a decent budget tool that is okay for most light duty tasks. I EDC this at work and EDC my Wave the rest of the time.Complaints.Bit driver needs a magnet alsoBetter finish from factory

Great product

Awesome product. Durable and nice. The bit driver being a standard size is super nice not having to find odd sized bits.

Its not a Leatherman wave.

If you THINK you are saving a bunch of money by buying something identical to the Leatherman Wave that they ripped the design off of- you aren’t. The Leatherman quality is much MUCH better. That's not biased opinion, it's just a fact. I wouldn’t carry this everyday and ACTUALLY plan on using it to replace simple tools, or replace an actual Leather Wave. This is something to throw in the glovebox and keep as a ‘better then nothing’ tool. If you want an edc tool to use in life everyday, and want the best value for your money get the real thing. I bought this just because of the favorable reviews it was gettin on YT, and wanted to see for myself. I dont feel this is as good as they claim. Cheap materials are used, quality control is non existent, just like any support or replacement parts (like cutters) you might need. No warranty, no belt clip (a deal breaker right there) the sheath is garabage like youd expect from a cheap Chinese copy. The locks dont fully engage unless i force tools to fully open. I needed pliers to deploy most of the tools for the first time, and the knife is still a 2 handed operation to open. If your budget is really tight, and you need/want ‘something’, ok, i get it. It's far better then nothing. If you want something you can buy once, rely on, depend on, and actually use everyday for opening more than envelopes or cutting tape - then get the real thing. You wont be disappointed and you will absolutely see the difference in what your money got you if had both to compare. That is the 100% honest truth, and not from a guy who just bought a cheap tool off amazon and wants it to be as good as the real thing. It just isnt. The hard truth is this - it's a cheap tool that ripped off an iconic design, and side by side there is just no real comparison to be made.Any reviewers online suggesting otherwise - I'm betting were happy to provide you with an affiliate link, which they get kickbacks from. So I'd question their real motivation by telling you "its almost as good" - cause it ain't.Does it "work"? Well yea, saying otherwise would be unfair, and it just "working" is a pretty low bar. Is it "as good as" that Leatherman? No. Not a chance.
