I bought this set to vacuum seal my rolls of 3D printer filament. The bags are heavy duty with a double zip-lock strip. The kit includes some plastic clips for easily sliding down the zip lock seal to make sure it’s closed. Also a bag of silica desiccant packets. The pump is really handy. It charges by USB so there are no batteries to leak and corrode. Do plug the pump in when you first get it. The partially charged pump lights up red when you plug it in, but turns to blue when fully charged.The only thing I would change is that the bags are a little tight on some spools of filament. If the bags were even 1/4” wider they would fit every brand of filament I have.

This is the first time I have tried this filament and will be the last. While the color is interesting and it seems to print just fine the winding on the spool is terrible. On a 5 hour print it stopped every 20 minutes because the filament was wound under another layer so you had to pull it hard to get it to keep going. It's not worth the trouble to deal with this when so many other brands work just fine and offer similar colors.Update: Less than 48 hours after my above review the vendor issued a refund and reached out to apologize for the winding issue. It sounds like this was a defective spool so I will definitely give them another chance.

07/23/23 Update: Tried this again using a single object on the printer, versus two separate objects. No banding evident and the print was as good as the first one. The first one was printed with two objects on the print bed and came out fine though. Not sure why the banding showed up. This is my favorite try-color filament though. Will keep using it.The first roll of this was fantastic. Printed several items and they were great. The second roll is questionable. Printing the same project and the colors are not evenly distributed. I have bands of color that were not seen in the first roll. All print settings were identical. Very disappointing.The first two pictures show the banding. The last two pictures show the same project from the first roll.

I’ve used multiple rolls of this filament with good results. This roll however was damaged in shipping. The cardboard spool just isn’t as sturdy as plastic but I applaud the switch to cardboard for the environment! Will buy again!

This stuff prints extremely well! 220/55, with 100mms on outer wall.

I just got this today with the single day delivery (thanks Amazon!) Although it was supposed to be delivered in the 3pm window, it got moved down to the 10pm window. I got it at about 7pm. First thing I did, was check the recommended settings. I have never used or heard of this brand until I found it for fairly cheap (for PLA silk) on Amazon. I am currently test printing a benchy on a BiQu B1 printer (unmodified) with the bed at 55C, and the hotend at 190C, sliced through Cura. I'm 75% through the print, and so far, everything is running great. The print is looking nice and shiny, although it is purple currently, the color I got is the color changing from purple to black. I have not printed enough to see how the overhangs come out. But again: so far, its coming out smooth and no stringing. I hope the rest of the test print comes out this well. The packaging was extremely tight and well protected with a silicone packet to keep the moisture out. Unfortunately, the stringing is not that neat looking, but it hasn't tangled on me yet.

Good value but a little pricey. Very accurate without any tangles yet with stunning print quality when it completes a print.

I chose this filiment mainly for the color but also wanted to try out some of the Amazon options vs name brand high quality filiments. I've gotten a surface test, a benchy, and then nothing but a big ol clog. The first prints worked well then all of a sudden during a longer print it clogged. I got another color of the same brand and haven't tried it yet but am almost worried too due to how long it took me to get the first clog undone. The color is cool but the roll I received looked more blue black then purple black but that could just be the luck of the roll and where the colors change I may have not gotten to the more purple color yet but probably won't if I keep having issues.Update: Company reached out and sent some stuff to try and diagnose the issue and decided I received a bad roll. Sent a new one right away and so far I've had way less trouble and no clogs yet!
