could have been a lot better
First Doctor Strange was better. But I enjoyed the ideas here and love the character, so it was still fun to watch. America was a very dull casting choice - her and her moms may have checked off some inclusion boxes, but she lacked charisma and acting chops. Elizabeth Olson did a good job as the Scarlett Witch, but the maternal drama was so overdone and not even logical (did I miss why she couldn't just have kids in her current reality??). Don't even get me started on where they took Christine's personal life... more box checking and zero chemistry. Gorgeous Hayley Atwell was a nice cameo, but far too brief. Doctor Strange himself was awesome as usual. Worth a watch. 3.5 stars

Outstanding Mystic World
This gives hope to the Marvel Universe because some of the movies after Endgame our not in context to Stan Lee's comics. I'd given up hope, I only wish Wonder Vision was not Disney owned because it explains this movie. Cumberbatch is extremely focus and he takes you to his fantasy land in every thing his does. (Note: Watch The Imitation Game it will make you cry. ) The movies closes the chapter on a super hero and opens the door for another, I just hope the next movies are treated with regards to fans became we live and breath this.

pretty good , just a few things i didnt like
#1 - Captain Marvel's powers are also from an Infinity Stone, like Wanda's, and Wanda shouldn't have been able to beat her so easily.#2 - The musical combat scene near the end was REALLY stupid.#3 - Why didn't Wanda just go meet a nice guy in her reality, get married, and have some (real) actual kids? Not like it'd be hard for her to find a willing donor.

Definitely in the Upper Half of Marvel Avenger Movies
This is definitely one of the better Marvel Avenger movies. It has lots of action and enjoyable imagery. The plot is quite simple: Mean Evil Lady pursues Young Woman to steal her power, Heroic Man intervenes. The problem: the most interesting character is the Young Woman. Second-most-interesting is the Mean Evil Lady. The Heroic Man, Dr. Strange, is so far from being interesting he is at the bottom of the list, along with Thor and Iron Man.And the only real contribution the Multiverse makes is to make the images appear to have a purpose. But it isn't really necessary; the whole thing could have been done on our Earth with a few minor changes to the scenery and dialog.Still, this is a /lot/ better than a mediocre family drama and other low-level Marvel Avengers movies!

Entertaining enough :)
Have been waiting for this movie after the last one. I guess it could have been better, but I still enjoyed it.

Dark yet Fun Flick
Wanted a fun movie to enjoy with the teens. Got it with this one! Darker than most prior Marvel films, so not for younger children.Entertaining and advancing of the current phase of the MCU. Good use of characters from the original Dr Strange film.Bonus content was quite interesting as well!

Meet Ms. Marvel
Another Marvel comics movie. If you've come with them this far, you know it's best to watch them all in order to get the continuity and know what's going on. Be aware on this occasion though that this one also follows on from the end of the Disney Plus tv series 'Wandavision.' I didn't have any problem understanding what was going on in the film as, although I don't have Disney Plus, I had read enough about events in it to know what happened in said series. But anyone who hasn't might be left a little confused.Anyway, it's back to Dr. Strange. Post his first film and the events of Infinity War/Endgame he's still doing his magic. He professes to be happy. Even though what happened with Thanos still weighs on him. And he sees his possible love interest from the first film [Rachel Mcadams] marrying another guy. Then a girl called America Chavez appears. She's from another universe. And she needs his help. But the threat she faces turns out to be not what he initially thought. A chase through universes ensues, facing a foe who stop at nothing to get what they want. Literally.Amazingly, in none of these universes do we actually see a single one where enough people like 3D tv to make it commercially viable. Take the hint!I did start to feel during the last four Marvel movies that they were starting to get a tiny bit formulaic. And lacked jeopardy. This one is a pleasant surprise because it avoids those issues. It's imaginative. It could probably have shown us more of the Multiverse than we actually get, but the stuff you get is good. It does allow veteran director Sam Raimi to show his own flourishes, and yet it still manages to balance that with being a Marvel movie. Which Eternals didn't quite.America, who went on to get her own Disney Plus show, is quite an engaging presence. And there is a good threat here. A very believable one also. Which meant it did have the jeopardy in the set pieces I was hoping for.A decent watch. And here's hoping following Marvel films will let their directors have the same latitude also. There are of course two scenes in the end credits. Middle and at the end of them. It has to be said though that the first one undercuts the final shot of the film. The dvd has no extras. It does start when loaded with the Marvel logo, which plays for a few seconds. You can't skip this so wait for it to finish.Language and subtitle options:Languages: English, Spanish, English audio description.Subtitles: English, Spanish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish.

Maybe not as Mad as it should have been.
is it a 2022 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Doctor Strange? Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Sam Raimi, written by Michael Waldron, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. In the film, Strange protects America Chavez (Gomez), a teenager capable of travelling the multiverse, from Wanda Maximoff (Olsen).Doctor Strange director and co-writer Scott Derrickson had plans for a sequel by October 2016. He signed to return as director in December 2018, when Cumberbatch was confirmed to return. The film's title was announced in July 2019 along with Olsen's involvement, while Jade Halley Bartlett was hired to write the film that October. Derrickson stepped down as director in January 2020, citing creative differences. Waldron and Raimi joined the following month and started over, adding elements of the horror genre that Raimi had worked with previously and making Maximoff the villain of the film, continuing her story from the series WandaVision (2021). Filming began in November 2020 in London but was put on hold in January 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed by March 2021 and concluded in mid-April in Somerset. Shootings also occurred in Surrey and Los Angeles.Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiered at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on May 2, 2022, and was released in the United States on May 6, as part of Phase Four of the MCU. The film received generally positive reviews from critics who praised Raimi's direction, the visuals, and Cumberbatch and Olsen's performances, while criticism was mostly directed towards the writing. The film grossed $955 million worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing film of 2022.With only a touch of Sam Raimi's fingerprint on the film with him working in Marvel's box. I felt underwhelmed by the final product, with a title which promised so much when first announced, I will this day and forever wonder what Derrickson's idea was, but maybe in another Multiverse, someone might find out.

Multiverse of Awesomness.
Me and my son went to see this movie at the cinema and enjoyed it (despite the references to Wandavision, which we couldn't see because Disney won't let non-Disney plus users watch it, my son says the series wasn't good based on what he heard anyway). Among all the recent Multiverse themed media as of late this movie stands out as one of the best. We can't wait to see what's next for Doctor Strange or America in the MCU.

Confusing epic!
Incredible CGI that`s quite a ride. But even as a fan I`m finding the storyline taking second place to the need for the studios to keep the franchise alive.Better than the "Eternals" - which wouldn`t be hard. But I feel Disney are just milking the Marvel Cash cow these days. After watching Love n Thunder, this might be the last Marvel film I buy.

Good but not great
Watched twice now, good but not great, was in two minds about seeing it in the cinema which I unfortunately did not ultimately do. Not my fave Marvel movie but not the worst either by a long shot. Just feels a little too rushed and characters rammed in and not given enough screen time. The scares are good and the horror and gore is enough to entertain both kids and adults. Worth a watch.
