Night and day with anxiety barking! My dog is so much calmer when I’m gone.
My 8 month old puppy has been showing signs of anxiety and it got progressively worse over the last few months. I got him at 10 weeks and when I started crate training he had no major issues. But at about 6 months old I had to go on a trip and a friend watched him. She left for an errand and he supposedly barked the entire hour she was gone. She even got a noise complaint. A month later I had left him for about 2 hours and got a noise complaint from my neighbors across the street that they could hear him the entire time. I was mortified! I got ring cameras to monitor him when I was out and watched hours of videos on YouTube. I tried everything from making a dark calm room to filling fun kongs and exercising him before leaving. When I would leave he would be fine for an hour but then start whining which turned into panicked barking. He was getting diarrhea every few days so I took him to the vet. His stool came back negative and his behavior was normal. The vet was thinking it could be stress related colitis and to monitor it before doing more rigorous testing. I felt like I couldn’t leave the house which was heartbreaking for me and my pup. I finally watched a video explaining how bark collars worked and they can be humane as well as beneficial to the dog by keeping them calm. At my wits end, and not wanting to pay hundreds for a trainer to tell me the same thing that YouTube could, I decided to buy a bark collar. I liked this one because it has several settings and the option to not use the shock. I got it same day and wish I bought it months ago. I left once and put it on the level 3 sensitivity with no shock, just the buzz. Oh my goodness his stress has dropped dramatically! No more barking when I’m gone. I never saw when he barked and ir buzzed, but it must have because when I leave I periodically check in and see him just lounging in his crate. And his diarrhea has been non existent since. I’m over the moon this was worth every penny. My recommendation is to not just use this as a band-aid. I still make my dog’s life so fulfilled and exciting so when I leave it’s his alone time to relax or enjoy his toys. We go for plenty of walks and play lots of fetch in the park. When I leave he knows to go into his crate and I put the collar on. He is significantly more relaxed and I notice he naps much longer while I’m out. Because he got that correction one time, maybe two, he now doesn’t get that initial bark out which becomes a full-blown anxiety attack. He is actually calm now. I highly recommend this product coupled with proper positive training.

Life-changing product
I resisted getting a bark collar to address my dog’s nuisance barking for a year. We spent hundreds of dollars on in-home training trying to solve the problem and got nowhere. Our dog was driving us crazy and destroying our relationship with our neighbors. I honestly had started to think we might have to re-home him as he barked anytime anyone rang our doorbell or walked by our house, and also barked whenever my kids got excited. So I finally decided to try a bark collar. This one had good reviews and I liked that it has a vibration-only mode (no shocks) and is self-activating when my dog barks. We tried it in vibration-only mode first, and within the first hour of wearing it, it was like we had a completely different dog. He was no longer reacting to every possible stimulus with barks. We have never needed to try the shock mode. Our dog now mostly doesn’t need the collar because it trained him out of the behavior, and it’s only been a month and a half. When we come home now, he is upstairs sleeping or otherwise chilling rather than at the door, stressed-out and vigilant. This collar truly changed our lives. If you are on the fence, I would say just give it a try! And for the record, my dog is a Sheltie (very bark prone and sensitive but highly trainable breed). This collar did not traumatize him at all. He has zero resistance to its being put on him. I think he is a much happier dog now and I know the rest of us (and my neighbors) are happier!

Overall, very happy with this purchase!
We have a small Westie that didn’t respond to just vibration to control the barking fits. She can still let out a single bark or 2 and it won’t go off. The second setting seems to not respond to a fit of barking as quickly as I’d like… but 3 seems to be way too sensitive. That being said, overall very happy with the product. She only needs to be reminded to not have a barking fit once a week. Now that she knows of the warning beeps before getting zapped. I honestly think she has only got zapped twice in the 4 months we have had it… the warning beeps seem to remind her to calm down. I would recommend and buy again if it ever quits on us.

Aided in curbing demand barking
We have two corgi sisters both of whom are incredibly food motivated. One developed a habit of demand barking around feeding times and this collar has been incredibly effective in combination with other training techniques (e.g. randomizing feeding times, positive reinforcement, etc.).Key considerations:- The multiple sensivity settings are useful for tailoring to your dog and environment (i.e. minimize false positives).- The sound and vibration alone have been incredibly effective for us, so I'd suggest only escalating to the shock feature after trying those out for a few sessions.- Even when not using the shock feature, I've found the metal shock tips tend to warm up, likely from contact with skin/fur, so keeping the rubber tips on helps with possible irritation.- Remember that the collar is a training tool and it's not advised to keep on 24/7. For us, the collar itself has become a useful deterrent and our dog is on her best behavior even when it's not turned on.

Takes too long when dog barks but children loud talking sets it off instantly
I kept wondering if this was working properly because when my dog was barking it didn't seem to be doing anything. He just kept barking. I turned the setting up (both sensitivity and shock level) and still when he barked, nothing. Now when my kids are talking loudly, then I would hear it beep followed by shock. It really defeats the purpose if my kids talking is the only thing that actually engages it and not the dog barking. My dog has a very loud low bark, so I'm not sure if it only reacts to higher pitches (like my kids loud talking) or if the unit I received is just defective. I turned the setting back down and it only seems to engage when my kids talk loudly.

Should have bought these 9 years ago
I am able to have people over without incessant barking! I can talk to people when I take the dogs for a walk now. They work excellently, the best $100 I ever spent, I bought two.

Worked like a charm!
Our backyard backs onto a green space and our dog constantly peeped through the fence and barked at everyone in the field - non stop! We tried positive reinforcement for a year. Wearing this collar in just the ‘beep’ mode stopped the barking within 2 days. She doesn’t even need to wear it anymore! Worth every penny!

Goes off with every loud noise
This product goes off at every loud noise, not barking. When my dog is barking it takes at least 5-10 barks before the beep even goes off and that’s on the highest setting. But if we drop something it beeps. Takes WAY too long to start vibrating or zapping.

Broke very quickly
We bought 2 and Initially, we loved them. Easy to use, worked great and seemed to significantly reduce our noisy dogs’ barking. However, after the 3rd day of use, a piece of one of the units broke off where the collar threads through so we could no longer attach the collar to the unit. We assumed it was just a fluke but after a couple more days the same piece on the second unit cracked in the exact same spot and it is now unusable as well. Super disappointed in this design flaw as otherwise, they were great.
