I bought the smallest tablet sized Hickory Flavored Pill Pocket for my 13lb Yorkie. She hates meds and can smell them no matter what I wrapped them in previously. We always had to resort to crushing the pills and using a plastic medicine syringe to squirt them in her mouth because she is small and hates medicine no matter what we tried to hide them in out of the refrigerator or pantry. (One of us to hold her and the other one to deliver the squirted meds) I purchased this product directly from Amazon warehouse and rec'd in less than 24 hours because they are ~five miles from my door. I was afraid the ball I rolled this (super fresh, moist, pliable fragrant smelling) treat would be too big for her to inhale without chewing and she'd spit it out, but she chomped once or twice if at all and it was gone. We tried to stick 1 and 1/2 pills in the first time and it didn't work, the next day we used two separate pill pockets and it worked like a CHARM the next five days until she was out of her two meds. So don't overstuff a pill pocket one pill per pocket and get the RIGHT SIZE for your dog, and pill. They make a different one for capsules which I thought about buying knowing I needed to dose one whole tiny pill and one half of a larger pill each delivery. I didn't get the bigger capsule pocket because my dog is only 13 lbs and I was afraid it would be bigger and she'd have to chew it to swallow it and discover the med and spit it out so I bought what I expected was the smaller pill sized option. Also be sure to follow the instructions on the package and do not use the hand/surface you used to cut a tablet in half or handle the pill to also then handle the treat. My husband and I each took a part of the task so as not to contaminate the treat exterior with medicine smell. If you are working solo, wash your hands really good in between, I tried it with one hand to handle treat and one hand to handle and insert pill and it wasn't easy because when you go to close the treat you kind of have to pinch it closed and then roll it into a ball and that takes two clean hands. If your dog is a toy size breed under 10 lbs I don't know that these would work for you unless you cut them in half and are trying to hide a really small pill or cut them in half. I am attaching pictures here for you with a standard size aspirin, a baby aspirin top and side view next to the product. I purchased the smallest size offered. Our dog has never had actual bacon, loves real peanut butter but is fascinated by the smell of bacon when we cook it so we went with the hickory bacon flavor

These treats are a genius idea and make things so much easier. I have to give my senior dog a pill almost daily for a coughing issue she has. She's mostly Dachshund and they are notoriously stubborn, so it became such a huge hassle every day for her to take her meds. Before using these I tried to put the pill in her mouth and she spits it back up. I tried to mix it in her food and even being blind she finds a way to eat around the pill. But with these treats she eats them with the pill inside no problem! They really help simplify the process. HIGHLY recommend them for those who have stubborn dogs that don't like taking pills.

We had been just poking the pill down the dogs' throats, until on began nipping my husband's fingers. These solved the problem, and the dogs love them. The hickory smoke flavor will hold a larger pill or capsule. The smaller chicken flavor ones take smaller pills, but they can be molded to cover a larger one too. Very soft and maleable. The dogs seem to like both flavors equally well. They don't add many calories to the dogs' daily intake.

These are great. I have a picky dog that will separate a pill from cheese and spit it out. Somehow these work even better. They are cup shaped and shapeable after you put the pill inside. So, I put the pill inside the cup and mash it around the pill and voila. My dog takes the pill with no slobber on my fingers while pushing the pill 1/2 way to my dogs stomach.

My dog turns into a full-on detective whenever it’s pill time and usually spits the pill out no matter what food I try to hide it in. But with these Greenies Pill Pockets? He gobbles them up every single time without a second thought!My only gripe? They’re so darn expensive — but hey, what isn’t these days? Totally worth it to avoid the daily pill chase!

I buy these regularly for my dog when I have medication to give him as he generally spits out pills. They are easy to use and my dog loves the taste! They are pretty soft and appear fresh, making it it easy to put even a large pill inside. Highly recommend for your pup/dog! Griff likes them just as treats as well ! I also smash them up and put them on his mat (wall food mat) in my shower when bathing to reward him during/after bath time.

These work great for my dog! She has to take a pill every morning so this is a great way to do it instead of putting it down her throat. She loves them, thinks they taste great! Easy to hide the pill in too.
