Phenomenal
Purchased 2 of these 1 was mounted on a Marlin 45-70 GBL and the other on a S&W 460 performance center 7 1/2 in barrack with an integrated weaver rail. Went to the range today and both were on paper out of the box. Recoil had no effect whatsoever on Either firearm. I was nervous about the 460 ruining the optic but it handled multiple cylinders like a champ and held zero. Clarity was fantastic and I was shocked on how quickly I had my firearms zero’d. I had a aimpoint pro mounted on a different rifle and this optic was just as good but almost half the price. I will definitely be picking up a few more on these to mount on a few other rifles I own. Keep stocking these up Amazon because I will be purchasing more after the holidays.

Well Made
High quality. Very well made. Everything works as it should. But, it has features you may never use . Consider before you buy. Fewer features = much lower cost, just as good quality.

Ultradot is right on target!
Finally getting corrective lens's for my astigmatism made red dots an option. Putting an Ultradot on my S&W 629 Stealth Hunter helped bring out the performance the gun is capable of. Love the adjustable brightness and multiple dots. Scope was very easy to sight in and right on target. Went from one big target to a backing of the same size with 5 smaller targets on it. What a difference. Didn't notice that the scope moved at all. Have worked up multiple loads from cap gun 44 specials to 240 grain Nosler hunting rounds at full speed. Love this scope. Wish my old elbow could take the recoil like my Ultradot does.IF, Match dot was to make one change it should be making the windage knob of the same style as the elevation knob. I'm definitely going to lose that cap.Aim small - Aim Smaller with a Matchdot Ultradot

The standard by which all other handgun hunting RDOs are judged.
I have been using red dot optics in various forms for a long time. I also handgun hunt quite a bit, as well as do a considerable amount of long range shooting using revolvers. The red dot optic makes a world of difference as the range gets extended. It also makes a world of difference, precision wise, as compared to iron sights. Handguns with heavy recoil are not kind to most RDOs. That said, the standard by which all others are judged are the ULTRA DOT RDOs, and if you look at the most experienced handgun hunters out there, you will find that ULTRA DOT optics are the predominant choice. When you spend all the time/money/effort into a hunt, you don't want to blow it, due to a faulty optic. Currently my Match DotII is on a 7.5" Redhawk .44 mag and has stood up to a steady diet of 300-320 grain hardcast loads that are loaded towards the upper end of the spectrum. The optic has never lost or shifted its zero. It is good to go, and as my eyes get worse with age, more and more Ultra Dots will find their way onto my handguns.

It is a good piece of kit for bullseye pistols
It is a good piece of kit for bullseye pistols. I now have three and the red dot in all looks like a comma. Somewhat an aggravation. The battery life is good, even if you forget to turn the red dot off after a match. It comes with rings. It appears to hold up well
